Aside from completely destroying the challenge in obtaining VR levels, epic drops, rare mats and basically anything else that made it worthwhile to pursue a top level character... what was introduced with Craglorn that was of any value to the general player base?
Sure, I like the idea of trials, and on the surface a group-oriented zone aimed at upper level VR players all sounds like a really good idea. In practice, however, it is just a sea of PUGs filled with lower level VRs all trying to grind their way to VR12, generally in the same few areas of the map i.e. Balamath, Seeker's, Anomalies, etc. Either that or they are farming the (formerly) rare drops to sell to lower levels.
The other day I went looking for a few treasure chests in Craglorn (from treasure maps I had obtained while mindlessly following an anomaly grind group back and forth - getting about 80k XP every 5 mins or so without ever risking my death or requiring any skill, I might add) and as I left the buzz of the nearby anom grinders and made my way across the deserts of Hammerfell, I couldn't help notice that it wasn't just the landscape that appeared barren. There was a noticeable lack of players. There were so many enemies I couldn't possibly hope to engage even one with my squishy NB without being swarmed by an absolutely overwhelming mob. But hardly any other players in sight. In fact, the only players I did see who weren't grinding at anoms or standing outside Balamath were just there to farm nodes.
It seems the deserts of Craglorn are the perfect metaphor for ESO's future: a barren, inhospitable wasteland, unforgiving and intolerant of all but the mightiest exploiters.
I know you're dead-set on shoving your vision of the game down our throats ZOS, but perhaps you should take a look-see at your latest brainchild before considering any new content, since clearly you have absolutely no idea what the majority of people actually want from this game. Or at very least you have no idea how to provide it without wrecking things further.
