Change the levelling system to Skyrims

I think they should test something out on the PTS. Change the level system to skyrims

1-50 would still be there, but each time you level up you get an attribute to spend. Remove veteran ranks. Your class and weapon and crafting skills should contribute to your 1-50 level. Quests should give NO xp. The 1-50 would just be an indication of your skill level but has no affect on the difficulty of the mobs, which means anyone can go anywhere and still have a chance of surviving.

Remove the level restriction from all pieces of armour and weapons, and make those pieces have a SKILL restriction. I have 50 Heavy Armor, which means I can wear voidsteel pieces of equipment. Same applies to light and medium armor. If I was 30 heavy armor i wouldnt be able to equip voidsteel etc...

Your skill in combat would depend on your class and weapon skills. A level 50 two hander person would do more damage compared to a person with level 30 two hander.

What about the mobs?

Remove the mob levels. Every mob should be the same level as every player, but some mobs have more hp, or can do more damage. It would be easier for a person with level 45 two hander to kill a mob compared to a level 24 two hander person, but it wont be impossible for the level 24 two hander, just more difficult.

Right now it's impossible for a level 10 player to kill a level 30 mob. In pvp level 10s have a chance to kill level 30 players. The same should apply for PVE

I don't see this working well for ESO. It would make group content and any dungeon runs a mess.

Maybe you should stop playing RPGs entirely. In fact, I'll do you one better - why don't we get rid of stats and classes and a world and just make it into CoD?

I never liked games that do this.

You must have missed all of the extremely low level vampires and werewolves near launch.

This is actually why Skyrim leveling doesn't work in an MMO. How can a mob have the same level as every player if every player has a different level? Skyrim also had some enemies with a base minimum level that made them hard to kill unless you could kite them to a location where they couldn't reach you and you had a range attack. ESO mobs all reset if you're in an unreachable location or they travel out too far.

Um. I love skyrim. One of the games I've played the most the past years.

But one of the first main factors Zenimax kept SCREAMING out, years before ESO was released, was, ESO is not Skyrim online.

Also, when you think about it. In skyrim, you can get everything to max if you just put in alot of time.

Everything to max in ESO would make the whole game pointless.

I meant like the mob has a base level, and with this level it means every player has a chance to kill it, for others it might be quick and others it might be harder, but not impossible. Right now it's impossible with the level difference. Some mobs would be stronger than others, but they have no levels.

If the mobs in a zone had different levels, and were scatered throughtout the world, this would make sence. The world would then in theory be fully explorable since everyone could do bits of each place till they leveled a traight up high enough or grouped. Skyrim online. But like previously said, eso is not skyrim online.

Lin] e [age did a bit of this with boss mobs thourghout its world. You had to skip and come back later, which led to a level mixture at times in zones.
