alchemy wrong!

My character with alchemy is lvl 42. My alchemy lvl is 38. Next skill upgrade is at lvl 40. I am in The Rift atm. only finding purified water. I cant use this water yet so I cant upgrade alchemy now. Even when I get to lvl 40 I wont be able to use the potions I can make because I still need 8 levels to become lvl 50.
Now I have to backtrack to get filtered water to get to lvl 40 (alchemy) which is not that much of a problem, but atm. I am already getting purified water which is totally useless at my level because I cant use the potions until lvl 50.

Conclusion, wrong waters in the wrong area which makes leveling alchemy kinda stupid since you get the wrong items for the level you are. Did they expect that you where lvl 50 in the last area before coldharbor?

This seem to be the same with food. You get recipies way too early for your level.
At first I was like, yes, foodupgrade until I noticed the food I could make I only could use 6 levels higher. why do I get these recipies so early then?

As far as alchemy goes, what I find really stupid is 10 level gaps.

Food/drink has 5 lvl gaps, why the heck alchemy has 10 levels?

At level 15-20 you are better when using found pots (or bought), same repeats every 5th to 9th level..

the waters are bugged. in AD u only get the level 30 waters in the 40+ Reapers march. You can find filtered water in lootables but not to any meaninful amount. When I leveled alchemy, i had to waste a lot of plants and power level through with level 30 waters. It's been a problem since Launch.

Don't even get me started with enchanting, thats so broke its crazy.

You need to be in vet 6 areas and above to find the water you need.

You can still level with old lower level water if that's all you're worried about.

I can't say I have had an issue with collecting water... And TBH, it's the last on the list of issues Alchemy has atm...
Does Snakesblood work yet? It's been a while since I tested it...

that is a good point about the levels however you can't find potions that restore all three attribute pools in one potion. Unless things change/have changed you can only drink one potion at a time meaning they all share the same cool down.

since i'm a max level alchemist i just vendor all my found potions because they are just trash compared to what i can make.

I have never worried about finding water. Just vr provisioning mats in vr areas. Go back and simply run along a river or lakes shore line and log out and back in. Repeat untill you have enough water to satisfy your need. I play with the mindset to pick up and open everything I see though. You might not.

Problem lies with the level 30-40 water areas.

Level 40 zone? You're getting level 30 or 50 water.
