DK doesn't feel broken to me? I rolled one on the PTS -and made a short video-

I had this in another thread focused on laughing at the ppl saying how DK is so broken... but I figured I'd make it in it's own thread.

So I rolled a VR9 DK on the PTS to see what it was like. It took me roughly 5 minutes to figure out a build (I have never played DK before), run off to Cyrodiil and solo a anchor. But as those were "only VR5 mobs" on the anchor, I figured I'd try some mobs in Craglorn (ya know, the VR10+ group content area). Here's what happened...

Doesn't seem very broke to me? This is a 1h/shield DK w/ full medium armor (the crap armor they give you when you start a character on the PTS). Normal potions.

I went the first half of the fight w/o using the ultimate, but then I used it bc I knew I only had 25 seconds of filming time per FRAPS so I wanted to end the fight quicker.

I didn't "pull a bunch", those are VR10 GROUP content NPC groups.

I have done exactly what you ask, but it takes longer than 25 seconds, so the videos are worthless in showing that I did end up killing them all.

Even if what you said were the case, then only attack solo mobs until you build ultimate to attack large groups.

But yeah, like I said.. You do realize that that group is made for a group of 4 VR10's, right? Okay, just checking...

Why You didn't show us how do you fight with groups of goblins(shamans ans scouts, ogr and their pets), wasp nests, humanoid groups with casters and archers? I am sure it would be more insightful

These groups of dogs I have seen being killed by a lvl v6 NB in dual, is NB overpowered?

Lol, while it was nice of you to humor the DKs, it is completely unnecessary. They are still so obviously the strongest class in the game, even these devs can see it.

So glad they promised more DK nerfs in the upcoming patches. Bring DKs down to templar levels, then you can claim you are broken.

Wow, I knew you could spam banners that quickly. So he starts off with a banner drops one and then 4 seconds later has another, how is this comparable to NB Veil of Blades it takes so much longer to generate that much ultimate to use it.

K, it'll take me a second do download and edit it... But I just logged back onto the PTS and Solo'd a group of Greycloak. Just for you.

It takes longer than 25 seconds, so I tried to keep track in my head as to when to push the "record" key again.. But anyway, you'll see. So yeah, what I just did was a healer, archers, tanks, etc. Like I said, it'll take about an hour to upload... But I'll tag you in it when it's finished.

That's not always possible to be fair. In a lot of solo dungeons and quests you meet groups of 3-4 one after the other in tight spaces. You cant always "farm" solo monsters for ultie points. On top of that, with the nerfs to utlie generation, that's even harder now and they also have said that they don't like how often people can use their ulties so their looking to change that even more.

I personally have not found any difference between the random land mobs in Craglorn and the ones in v8-v10 areas.

Btw, I don't believe the DK S&B is broken, but it has been nerfed to the point where tackling such groups it's a roll of the dice if you'll live or not unless you have an ultie on. Yet still ZOS want to nerf it more

But this isn't a solo dungeon bud... It's VR10+ group content and the group numbers are large to accomodate groups. I have a video of me fighting 6 humanoids tho... So, there's literally nothing they can say after it uploads..

you can make yourself a V9 via template

my impression from pts: DK average in pve , strong in pvp(i think with magicka furnace is strong in pve and very strong in pvp)
NB strong in pve(light setup, simphoning strike aoe spamming) weak in pvp(in any setup)
Sorc Strong pve, strong pvp
Templar , average pve, average/strong pvp

Eh... From my experiences your observations are close to accurate. Except my 7/7 medium armor, DW NB dominates in PvP.

But lets not get off topic. ^^

Wrong - been playing Dragon knight as my first character, and I've ever rarely had to use ult, unless it was really called for.

You killed like... what...? One wolf like creature before dropping the infamous flag? And you dropped another one, once you've charged the ult, if I'm not mistaken?

Where's the fun in that if you have to rely on ults to whack mobs efficiently (not very fast too, I may add), wtf?

Dunno about the other people, but for me, the Ultimate serves as a 'saving' tool when things look dire/not so great. Not as a resource you need to kill mobs in the first place that you can't kill without it.

I honestly had no clue what you were talking about by "conditions" so I made a joke.

But, tbh, I have no clue what gear it is. Whatever crap gear they give you when you make a VR9 template. I equipted all the medium they gave me, the weapon/shield they gave me, and bought some VR5 potions and you can see the skills I'm using in the skillbar.

No food.

My attributes were 19 magicka, 30 stamina.

You don't have to believe me... But regardless, those are the "conditions".

OP is a troll - he charged the ultimate and killed them all with AoE dps - it is nothing special nor OP try to burn them down with that whip instead
