We can all get jobs as city workers.
I'm sure we can repel the rat and mud crab invasion.
A combined group of 10 -12 should heroically defeat mobs of 6 or less.
If a single Nightblade caster who's exploiting a bugged Resto staff ability to solo a V12 group boss can be used to "justify" nightblades being fine then I think DKs can take one for the team, since it's them and sorcerers who have been historically soloing group content in this game.
I wonder if I should level a NB now, and park it at lvl 50 waiting for the eventual 'full-release-working-as-intended' buffs or should I wait? Getting really really bored of spamming crystal shards already
The coming changes are so ridiculous that its now hilarious.
At least I can be a stable boy and pray that no Vet level mud crabs get in.
As an owner of couple of alts I have much easier choice.
My Sorc is already performing better than DK in vet content, so though DK gives me more fun playing, I will spend some more time with the Sorc now.
I'd suggest to have at least one alt for everyone, especially that with Craglorn you can level your character really fast ;-)
I don't know. At VR3, my NB feels about right on solo content and public group content. Haven't done a group dungeons yet. They say we have broken passives. I don't know, I only use about half of them. Being an archer, I only use about half of the abilities, too. So there very may well be problems that I don't know about.
But all I know is when the topic of nightblade dps comes up here or in guild or zone chat, the conversation always goes the same way...
-NB says he does fine in x content or parsed y dps.
-Non NB says either "you must be really good but z (non NB class) could have done it easier" or "(non NB class) would have done y x1.5 dps on that mob so that's no big deal" or "post screens or it didn't happen."
This is directed at no one player personally, but the public face of the DK class has done nothing but gloat since day one and belittle other classes as "broken" and using I Win buttons on EZ mode...Now it's all tears over nerfs.
It's as if it has never occured to anyone that maybe, just maybe, this game was never intended to be played on EZ mode, that the "broken" classes are a lot closer to intended strength than the favored ones, and that nerfs are actually warranted?
Don't mistake what I'm saying, I take no joy in any of this, I've played classes that got beat with the nerf bat and it sucks. It would have been better to have had better balance at release. But there wasn't. And now nerfs may be what is needed, unfortunately.
Don't shoot the messenger, but I'm betting Sorcs are next. And I bet when they finally get around to balancing stamina and magicka builds that magicka staff/light armor builds take a good whack or three with the nerf stick while stamina builds only get a few tweaks up.
Because, while nobody wants to hear it, stamina build nightblades really aren't that bad now. They just seem that way because other classes are facerolling content in comparison, but maybe that was never intended.
Basically what we can all agree on; I hope. Is that class balance is broken. The major problem is how ZOS is fixing the issue.
Therein is the rub for me. I have voiced my concern on PVP vs PVE. Submitted feedback and posted a plenty on the forums.
PVP drives class ability nerfs or buffs. I absolutely do not agree with us.
Leave us PVE folks alone and nerf the hell out of PVP if ya like. I have stated in other posts, "Create code that balances all classes upon entering PVP."
If a class is underpowered in PVE then buff them; quite a simple solution.
My mindset is really changing when it comes to this game.
