Mist Form vs Dark Talons, Bug?

Mist Form is supposed to make you immune to control effects but you get stuck when hit by Dark Talons. What's worse is that you can't roll-dodge while in mist form so you can't escape the Talons. Is this a bug or intended?

In this game, controlling effects refer to stuff like stuns, disorient, knockdown, etc. that causes you to lose control of your character and be unable to use any skills. Immobilise and snares do not count as controlling effects.
