Vet Ranks Issues

Vet Ranks and the grind to obtain them is one of the key problems to the game, other then the balance nerf/buff rollarcoaster.

Here is the main Vet issues as I see it.

1: Vet ranks in general are not rewarding. There is no new skills or features added. The only thing that a player gets is a little more stat points. Gear is pretty much the same as lower level with just a few more stats.

2: Questing in the other Factions and following the same storyline as that faction. This drives me nuts, and is my one major issue I have with the games quest system. As a DC I do not want to save the AD or EP faction I want to destroy it. I dont know how many times iv had to kill DC NPCs while doing the other story-lines, and it bugged me every time. This also greatly effects replayability.

3: The shear amount of grind required to do all the quest and level up. Tied with the above this makes players just give up rather then continue playing.


ZoS has already stated that some changes will be made but I doubt it will be enough.

Here is what I would like to see changed.

1: Remove Vet levels all together, but leave the current difficulty of the Vet zones.
2: Vet Zones Quests all all removed and new ones added. Example: A DC who enters an AD Vet Zone will see the zone like how the AD would have if he completed every quest in zone. Story line is completed, and all quest completed. The DC now has a few new quest in the zone that furthers along the DCs goal. This can be done with 10 new quest with a 2-3 dailies in each zone that is random from 10-20. Can add random quest in random locations to encourage exploring.
3: Add a new Vet Skill Tree. Completing quests, doing Vet Dungeons, Trails, PvP, etc now levels that Skill Tree. This is how those lost Stat points are obtained. Gear can have base stats limits placed on them if its needed.
4: Add the faction VR content. As a DC I want to see DC vet zones (with the storyline and zone already completed). Add new quest and dailies that help undo some of the AD/EP influence. (Would love open world pvp but doubt that will happen).

This way once a player reaches level 50 following the quest rails the game opens up and they can just explore the vast game.
