What if DK aren't OP?

    I still say that DK's are fine, its light armor/staves that need a looking at.

    Obviously other classes need fixes ant tweaks, but I don't think DK's themselves arent that bad.

    DK's have never been OP, some armor and weapon skills are the problem, not the class skills. Combining the extremely powerful light armor passives with staffs is OP on any class.

    take light armor and staffs away the sorc has nothing at all....

    I semi agree with both sentiments expressed above. Personally, I think abilities should be balanced seperately for PVE and PVP.

    In PVE, skills should be generally more powerful, without granting the ability to faceroll everything they dont outlevel significantly.

    In PVP, skills should work slightly differently... shorter duration stuns, smaller armor debuffs, less effective snares, lower damaging abilities, etc. The core functionality should be close to identical, but individual skills could be toned down, or increased in effectiveness based on player feedback and internal metrics.

    I am quite tired of PVE gameplay being diminished due to PVP complaints. This is true for ALL classes.

    That said, balancing PVP is amazingly difficult, when taking all scenarios / skill combinations into account. The 'forum bandwagon' effect renders all but well thought out / supported arguments useless for developers to respond to, or base changes upon. Negative sentiment breeds more of the same. I would like to suggest that people attempt to provide constructive criticism, rather then random frothing.

    Not that my advice will count for all that much in the long run, but... that's my 2 cents.

    Sorry mate , but no , atleast it was not so.

    Back when this game launched , the DK itself was horribly OP , it had nothing to do with the staff or the light armor , the class was just completely over the other 3 AND the PvE content in general , no questions about it.

    Today , i really wonder if that is the case , i do agree with you that they should not nerf the DKs into templars , with that said , they should not allow them (or any other class) to faceroll either.

    A stop in the middle of both should , in my opinion , be the place all classes get balanced into.

    One could hope they fix all the horrible nerfs before f2p hits, but I doubt it.

    Heavy armor DK tanks weren't overpowered.
    Don't worry though, after next patch we will all have jobs in cities scooping up horse manure.
    Anything above that requirement we will fail miserably.
