Skill lines

I've always been fond of the Dunmer great houses: Hlaalu, Redoran, Telvanni, Dres and Indoril. I've enjoyed being involved with them in the Ebonheart Pact - thought it might be awesome to have them as unique skill lines for Dunmer. But what other intra-race factions are there for the other races that could be made into skill lines, as I don't know much about the other races politics or cultures. This is all purely hypothetical of course as it would take a lot of work and a lot of balancing so that different races aren't missing out. Any ideas?

There are definitely opportunities for that, but it might make skill trees and balancing too convoluted if they vary too wildly between races.

However, I did see an excellent idea thread a while back that proposed Aedra/Daedra skill lines for their devotees. That might be a little easier to implement since their worship is fairly universal (even taking sub-sects of religion, like the Tribunal in to account).

You're right about the Aedra/Daedra that would be seriously fun, and definately a lot easier to implement. This is the kind of variety I'm expecting from this game. Having the open ended skill system has given them so much room to move. I can't imagine what kind of things they have in development (obviously dark brotherhood and thieves guild will be very popular - although I would have liked a Morag Tong equivalent as well as the Dark Brotherhood).



With regards to skills I was always determined to be a vampire or werewolf but I'm concerned about anything that gives me a consistent weakness.
