"Magic" Shield when Blocking?

Hey guys, I was just wondering what the "magic" shield is that pops up when others are blocking in PvP. Is this just a visual cue that they are blocking or is this an ability/passive that you can get? If it is an ability, what is it? Thanks

Yes. You will see it on NPCs too. When they have their sheild up and have enough stamina to block you will see that cue. You'll also see it if they don't have a shield and are blocking - I think it's actually more for those situations because it may not be as obvious when a player is blocking when they don't have a shield.

Could be a set bonus for a special crafting station or drop.

I always thought that was an ability that reflects spell damage... could be wrong though, but ive seen many people block without that cue.

That is what I thought too. Unless the cue is just buggy and inconsistent.
