However, as a few ESO diehard fans have pointed out, I have no proof. Some people even claim ESO is actually growing in numbers. I am so relieved to hear this good news.
So, now I go into the game and see the silver lining of my wrong perspective.
I used to separate chat tabs for my guilds because of all the chatter. Now I have consolidated them all to one tab. I'm sure everyone is still playing. I think most are enjoying the game too much to chat.
I am finding players are no longer around me to steal chests from me or beat me to crafting nodes. I gather so much more now, it is really awesome. I guess all the other players must be in different areas.
I can use my zone chat again. I had to turn that sucker off a while back because there was so much selling spam. I mean sure, I'll still see people selling in zone chat still, but my screen no longer flies past so fast that I can not read it. I guess that guild store concept must finally be working right.
I can finally solo public dungeons alone. No more tons of other players rushing past me and killing everything. I guess I'm slow and all the other players have done all the dungeons I'm doing now. It's nice to be able to take my time and enjoy the solo dungeons for a change. A month ago, that was never possible.
So, thanks to the assurance that we have a growing population, I am really enjoying all the benefits of a quiet little game.
Thank you.

There is also the more obvious explanation than even trying to put the OP in a category box, so you can discredit him (petty *** and desperate thing anyway).
In first, second and third months of all MMO launches in recent years, crowds always go in droves. After third month, you usually have your rough figure of what the mainstay numbers of your playerbase is going to be.
It is just how it is. Question is, do the managers, marketers, and developers, take this into account, in their plans and projections, or did they plan on having more of these continue playing?

Find the addons people are using and build your UI accordingly.
Fix the bugs and get rid of the damned solo play.
Then you may just see people come back and give it another try but I also think the sub numbers are dwindling and I'm not so blind to see that they better do something quickly if they want them back.

Only my Trade guilds are slightly higher. This ranges from guilds in size of 300 to 500 members with about 20ish players active that i can see.
Its very disheartening. Struggling to maintain interest in this game with no one to play with. I had 1 or 2 RL friends but they stopped playing in their 20s.
