A lot of people were upset over the subscription announcement way back, but many of us were quelled when we were promised that our $15 a month fee would support...

1. A lag free experience
2. Premium customer service
3. Frequent, quality content updates.

Let's examine these three points shall we?

1. No words. (See today's patch and how lag is actually WORSE in Cyrodiil.)
2. CS replies with either an automated email or a "OH hey this is a known issue, it should be fixed someday!". There are horror stories all over the forums of the totally bare-bones customer support this game offers, See this thread for example.
3. Crag? The new group content is laughably easy, clear-able in it's entirety by any basic group in little time at all, add to that the fact that the gear dropped boasts terrible set bonuses and there is no purpose/progression to it whatsoever. The only good thing that came in the patch are the exploits where players have been grinding from V1-V12 in days (which still has yet to be fixed). The worst part about the patch is that for all the bug fixes, a MOUNTAIN of new ones were introduced with the content update.

It pains me to write this, but many of us should have been tipped off the moment the "pay $$ to unlock a race!" feature was announced that this game was intended as a cash cow, nothing more.

Oh, and if our $15 isn't going towards the game where then you may ask?

All throughout beta it was one of their survey questions, how likely would you be willing to pay to play the game on a scale of 1 to 5. I always fell somewhere in the middle primarily due to improvements needing to be made. Never wanted to commit fully to the unfinished product.

I fell sucker though to the pretty digital copy and extras, so I purchased and then started playing early access. Had a bug free experience playing 1 to 50 on my Nightblade and even made Dominion Hero.

    Then V1 happened.

The real issue here is how they are new to this field.

I dont think they are doing this on purpose , i just think they were not ready to deal with a MMO of this size.

Mate , i played AD at release , and let me tell you , there were TONS of bugs , hell i have bugged quests in AD even today, yeap still bugged , and my char is vet10 almost ending the DC zones, which also got bugs btw :P.

Still , if you could actually play this game without bugs , then it appears zen is making some progress , even if it is slow.

If you REALLY want your bug get fixed do research, collect data, post numbers and conditions.

My first bug occurred shortly after hitting Stonehelm. It was a quest boss that did not spawn. From that point on I had many quest bugs, log in issues, constant CTDs.

I once was an adventurer like you - then I took a veteran content to my knee.
Im not gonna repeat -zillions of bugs here..

But with my todays knowledge about the game.. looking back at the devs interviews in the past when they were talking about why they feel a subscription fee was in order... Makes me want to laugh... or smash my computer.

I really dont think im getting worth for my money if the most time in the game im not fighting mobs or enemy players.. but lags. disconects. bugs, disappearing bank inventory, all while trying to ignore bots who "steal" ressource nodes and boss spawns from under my nose and being oneshotted from veteran level trashmobs (thou must suffer for being as stupid to play a melee/stamina class)

The customer service is hard to judge by your experience alone.
There are disgrunted players who didn't get any help from customer support and there are players who did not voice their opinion who did get fantastic support. Players who did get help fast have no reason at all to post in the forums about the fantastic support they got.

I am one of the latter. I managed to delete my main and after posting a ticket at the website and also a ticket ingame, I got a call from customer support (It literally took them 3 minutes from me posting the ticket then for them to call me).
And this pretty much goes to every single Customer Service everywhere.
    It's an ungrateful job.

But some bugs seemed to come and go. My NB is AD, and most bugs (right up until Arbourdawn Cult with Telenger) were correctable simply by relogging maybe three times. Perhaps he was just lucky with his shards, or whatever that's called and it how that works.

EP? My lizard was stopped by three quest bugs. One bug went away, I got past that part (School Daze) a few days ago .... but a little further along the chain, I'm supposed to talk to someone who isn't there. At least, I think he's supposed to be in that room.

DC, never got very far with my templar, I guess and I'm redoing it now with a sorc. Haven't noticed any bugs (except maybe the critter thing from another thread; when my spells don't go off, I usually blame myself for trying to woodpecker the keys again.)

I've submitted bug reports, and reported spammers/bots, and that's about all they ever had to hear from me.

Believe me or don't. I had no issues with the game until I hit Veteran levels. No bugs whatsoever. I had friends who had plenty of bugs and other issues pre vet zones but they were mostly different from each other.

@flguy147ub17_ESO, of course it is not your job. I've never said that.

While crossing a street on a crosswalk you see giant truck rushing right in your direction. You can continue your way because you are on crosswalk and have priority over cars - you are the one who are right, but you are also the one who will suffer when get hit.

So... what am I trying to say?

You can pay your subscription fee, report bugs in general manner and wait for fixes while playing bugged game. That is 100% OK, but not as helpful as it could be - you are the one who suffer.

    OR

You can do more effort and try to provide as much information as you can so the game YOU PLAY could be a better place. It would be easier for devs to localize the bug so they will fix it FASTER.

If you don't want to do it then, by all means, don't. Get hit with a truck and be right.

One thing that would bring change quickly for sure is if as many as possible grouped together and stopped paying the 15$ a month fee for x amount of time. Imagine if 60-70-or even 80% or the subscribers would stop paying until [leave your issue here] was resolved.
