How do you really feel about the content updates good the bad and the ugly part 1

for me it seems the game has long way to go it seems zenimax is on very very low budget on making new content updates 4 weeks to 6 weeks maybe because the developers are babies to this whole online thing if you think about it

give your cold hearted options how you feel the game must be

update 1 was ok
update 2 must be better

For a new MMO - thinking about end game and PVP off the bat? A plus in my book. Every MMO has growing pains = some of them still do after years.

Having only gotten to 38 on on character, so obviously not seen Craglorn, and not being overly fond of PvP, my only perspective is that game mechanics seem to have gotten somewhat smoother and bugs are rare, if I see them at all.

Would like to see them put the haste on Thieves Guild, DB, Justice system and housing. Something that will be accessable to everyone, not just those that rushed to end-game.

I think it was terribly silly of Zeni to work on 'end game content' within weeks of launch. This is flawed game design, in my opinion - no one should BE at end-game content so fast, and the fact that they could reach it that fast is just indicative of terrible design.

The first few months, in an ideal world, should be about fixing all the stuff that didn't get fixed in beta - or that became broken by going live - and as anyone who follows this game knows, that's a lonnnnnnnnng list that could easily keep Zeni busy for a few months.

THEN worry about end-game.

"End Game" doesn't really matter so quickly after launch except for the '1%' who race there. "End Game" is pretty pointless when you're hemmorhaging players before they even reach 20 because of bugs, design-flaws, etc.

But, that's just my 2 gold pieces - which is the same price as a couple crawdads, so there you go.

Considering it takes a hump-ton of time and effort to create new content, new, post-release 'end game' content is in the pipe well before the game goes live. Then it has to be tweaked to fit with the updated / patched state of the game at the time it's released.

There's a lot more to it than just 'pumping out new content'. If you wanna see how unbalancing random new content can be just look at EQ pre and post Planes of Power.

They're opening PTS to the rest of us. Perhaps that will mean they finally get feedback on new systems from people who don't have 16 hours of free time every day. Feedback from players for whom the game is entertainment, instead of a life&death 'challenge'. Maybe that will also mean that they recognize that not everyone made it to VR rank in a week.

i dont think its down to americans to tell us how the game is gonna done

when the eu megaserver gets moved to eu they gonna have their own development team if i am right biggest forward point since the game game out of beta

May be i am totally wrong, but i never thought that this game would go so fast on new content for end-game. This is surely perfect for all those who goes straight to the higher levels
Me ... i am doing all i can to avoid to be Veteran, and Craglorn.
First because i want to have the time to discover every little things around me. I dont want to rush through the content only because ZEN or *some* players decided i had too.
Actually i am tired to group with the people that just want to get to the end of any instances, just to make it : no time to read, no time to even understand the quest, no looting around, no lore searching ....
I thought the game would be oriented for all play styles, but i was wrong. All i see from Zenimax is related to end-game and mandatory to group.

Oh do not get my wrong, i love to group, but certainly not on a whole play session. I am lucky or unlucky as i can play for long hours. But 2 hours of grouping is enough for me per day. After that, either i leave because this was just some rush, or i am tired after some hard fighting to succeed or i want to play solo to breath away and catch the game atmosphere again.

I am deleting my higher level characters and starting new, this is the 6 times i do this. (lv 34 and 27 where the last ones to go). I may delete my 44 and my 38s soon, as the quests to advance are still bugged and no news ahead beside update 2.

Now i have also to admit that the posting on here does not push me toward Veteran and Endgame. Beside the bugs, i have yet to read a constructive thread about the end game and the casual players. But so far we are let aside.

I do love the game, and even starting new characters still amaze me because i can discover more on some classes, on fights, on places. I can even surprise me as to be able to achieve quests i could not with some classes or less knowledge but I doubt i will be able one day to go further as i feel slowly but surely pushed away to the exit by Zenimax.

They had all the updates planned way before launch. Why do you think nothing gets fixed quickly, one week sometimes two for a fix to be implements or even hinted at.

The name of the game with them at the moment is hit the projected release dates for all the content as it was scheduled way before release, oh and fix stuff as you can along the way.

Looking at the delays in fixing things bank bug, bank dupe, caltips, mercs, almost anything that has gone array one would almost believe the team doing maintenance is less than 10% of the team doing new content.

PVP content is pretty much dead ZENIMAX are to busy putting our sub cash in there pockets fix the game

I mean come on, surely you can do better than that? I don't understand people like you at all.

Sure people were complaining about quests being bugged since the launch, but since then many things just got better and better.

I don't even think this game was ever riddled with bugs, in the past 2 months since the launch, I encountered total 2 bugged quests out of the 600+ I've done. And even that was the first half month, so no I haven't encountered a single bugged quest in the past 1,5 month.

That leaves your math of bugged quests incorrect. 0,33% of bugged quests for me, or in your study 1 out of 300.
