Not that its a bad thing. I'm just wondering what do the maintenances do? Other than keep the server from spazzing out.
I have been grinding since day one and am only level four, it's pretty hardcore.sh4d0wh4z3 wrote: »adds in fixes so we have more things to complain about. The forums are a separate MMO that has to get new content every week too.

They are used for updates and changes to hardware and 3rd party software like the OS, Databases etc as well as changes to the actual game's server software.
I for one like that they are very active with maintenance and the time they perform them (early morning) is not a problem for the majority of users.
Now only if the product could improve as a result. The 1st quarter of any new MMO rtends to be a bit chaotic. However by the end of the 3-month period (July the 4th) they need to have first and foremost a stable and secondly a bug free game.
New content can follow afterwards...

You would rather things are not fixed? I personally like it when they do maintenance, as long as things are getting fixed. Because as more and more things get fixed, there will be less and less maintenance required. For example in WoW I think in many weeks they don't even have maintenance, just server restarts. I guess it's a bit of an adjustment from playing a single player game like Skyrim to an MMO where maintenance is a regular occurrence.

This maintenance windows are not normal, not in MMORPG world and definitely not in the rest of IT Services world. I know companies with less maintenance on Test systems.
Actually it was a joke based upon the usage of "at night" as if it were an absolute rather than a local condition. You might want to invest a couple of points into the Humour skill line.Bryong9ub17_ESO wrote: »
