Do you feel like you are playing to beta test this game right now?

    Yes
I was in the first phases of beta testing for this game which was last summer. While it might be hard to believe, there has been improvement. However, either with pressure to release before product was finished or poor project management, this game is still super flawed. While not as bad as some early beta testing I have been a part of in the past (WAR) is definitely is a top 3 contender.

I said no. But only because there is a faulty asumption in the question itself: That any game since pong was ever "finished" at release.
Or any programm, for that mater.

I bought ESO at launch. It never occured to me to not expect bugs, misbalances, downtimes, patches. I simply cannot understand how people can claim to not have expeted something like this. I expected it to be 10 times worse, so I am positively surprised by how little issues I had.

Buying any multiplayer game at launch - especially an MMO - and expecting no bugs/downtimes/misbalances is for me like jumping out of the 10th floor and wondering that the ground is "suddenly" comming closer. Pointing out that there are bug/bots/downtimes/inbalances is like saying "human need air to breath".

You can always tell how well a game is doing by the shelf price of the game....WoW still seems to sell well, ESO is down from its UK release price of £50 to less than £10 in only a couple of months from release. That by any standard is a failed launch. They should cut there losses early and just roll out the F2P version. They don't seem to get what an PC version of an MMO should be, this game is blatantly obviously made for consoles and now we all get to Beta test it for them.

I'm only waiting to see what the Housing will be like, if its like Skyrim and we get to build it ourselves then that will grab a whole bunch back to the game, if it's instanced like Rift has then i'll prob put my map away and send ESO to my bottom drawer of old relic MMO's

Funny thing is that nobody argues that ESO is full of errors. The difference in the opinions is that errors should be fixed by now vs it is the way MMOs are

ZOS takes the server down twice a week for maintenance and yet, there have been more bugs made than fixed, if only we had a PTS for stuff like this, oh wait we do, and yet near-game-breaking bugs are prevalent for weeks at a time before they are even addressed let alone fixed. I personally feel like I'm paying Zenimax to beta test their game.

    i got the same feeling
i hope too have some refund 5 day or something
anyway i already think too stop and come back after 2 or 3 month
