Veteran points (a quick question about obtaining them)

Just hit veteran rank one, as a full RP player, I am very happy but confused about how to get VP.

Can you only obtain points doing PVE in the other faction areas or have I missed something ?

Closed question.

Only the mobs that are level V1 or higher will grant Veteran XP. Anything in Coldharbour will still grant Ultimate, but not XP. The quests there will still give you XP though. Once you finish and do the last main story quest, you will get access to the Veteran Zones (the zones from other factions) and the mobs there will give you XP.

Actually, mobs grant XP which is divided by 10 when converting to VP. Quest turns in grant VP directly.

When did this start, with craglorn?
I ask because before that I spent days in a hideaway of mine farming up the skills on my templar before I dumped it and never saw a point of VP off lvl 50 mobs.

As far as I know it's always been this way. I use the the Foundry Tactical Combat which shows my XP and VP rewards. All mobs I have killed only grant XP and after checking my VP gain from killing them realized the XP is divided by 10 when converting to VP.

When I turn in a quest it grants VP directly.

The good news is that I believe once you hit Veteran Rank 1 all quest turn ins grant VP, no matter what the quest level, even lower ones.

I can confirm the last part is true, but even though the mobs I killed yielded 350 xp I never got a point of VP after checking my VP. Perhaps this was only true for cyrodil mobs as that is where I was farming my skills up while waiting for someone to catch up.

Now that they are vr5 they do yield VP but is not quite as quick for kills as before.

Hmm, as of this morning, FTC is reporting both VP and XP for kills, but the ratio is not 10 to 1, more like 4 to 1.
