Nightblades and stamina

New to the forums but VR7 nightblade playing since early access. Just wanted to make some general observations some of which have already been echoed by the playerbase about how to fix this class.

Caveat- not focusing on resto/destro staffblades this is about melee/bow.

I have seen alot of people comment that the "wow archetype rogue" nightblade is not the intent of ZOS and that magicka is and always will be the primary resource in this game. That stamina should somehow only be used for dodge rolling, blocking, interrupting, and sneaking. If this is the case then why do the bow, dual wield and 2 hand lines even exist in the first place with their primary focus on the use of STAMINA. The fallacy that somehow every class in this game was purportedly designed around magicka usage as the primary resource and that is ZOS intent is just simply not borne out by a cursory review of those skill lines.

What ZOS needs to do is to buff stamina based skill damage significantly to bring it in line. This will allow those players who wish play a melee based or bow based nightblade the opportunity to be competitive in the end game environment.

I do of course recognize that a mix of magicka and stamina based skills is always going to exist in a properly balanced action bar but currently nightblades are only truly viable in Trials as a caster or healer and then only marginally so.

I do not believe, as some on these forums do, that this is/was ZOS intent.

Buff stamina based abilities make them scale better so melee and bow can have a rightful spot in endgame raids. While your at it nerf the cost of dodge rolling it should need eat a 1/3 of a stamina bar.

This along with the stated fixes listed in the Nightblade Update ought to go a long way to making this class viable endgame.

I already commented on something like that but people doesnt really want to listen.
Im not a particullary strong NB yet my Blinding flurry does 850 dmg.
Buff it by 20% and people would cry to nerf weapon skills.

All we need is more stamina to not starve after a few seconds and the lag to be fixed because with so much lag playing a ranged character is much much easier.

Right away when I thought about sprinting and interrupting I was like... ok so there's no way I'll be able to drain my pool and sprint or block. So magicka build just seemed like a no-brainer.

I think they didn't quite think it out well. The stamina pool shouldn't be used as a dps pool and also get used for sprinting and blocking. Where's the balance? Is there some balance for that?

I agree with the stamina. Even alternating between stamina and magicka I run out of stamina long before I run out of magicka. I was 1/1/1 I'm thinking about doing 1/3/2 in my next character. Respecing is too expensive.

Respecing attributes costs 4900gp at max level. Not that expensive.

NB and stamina do not agree...at least with the current state of the game. So gear your NB in a dress, go all class abilities and hope that ONE day they will address the dumpster fire that they have created.
