I Have been thinking that surely the pvp is a little uneven.
I was pvping a little bit the other day and i was just getting absolutely owned.

Don't get me wrong VR12's that are going around with such nice gear and all skills ect. Fair play to you all but surely it would make more sence to split us all up a bit to make the pvp system a bit more fair, In all mmos i play i am a huge pvp fanatic, but really!?

there is a world of Difference between a "bolstered" sub 50 and a VR12. Want to know why PVP is empty.... a few bugs (Oil / caltrops) and too low of a bolster to be effective.

bolster is where you are autoleveled. Sub 50 players are boosted to "be like a lvl 50" player with "normalized stats" I personally think the Bolster should be VR5 or VR6

Imo any system that rewards time played by making a character more powerful in pvp will make that game an elite and niche game. Whether the advantage be far superior gear or innate advantage, ie vet. levels, the end result is lower access to pvp. Such systems ruined DAoC. WAR. EQ2 and WoW pvp. I believe it should be pvp, not gear vs gear or vet. level vs vet. level.

I propose unique appearance and titles would be better for the game. Game experience, teamwork and better understanding of game mechanics should be enough of an advantage.

There will always be those that want an advantage for time played, but I believe such a system limits the pvp pool and dooms the longevity of a game.

that's why PVP was fun in the Beta's everyone was pretty much equal, minus a few skill point advantages.

    Should be some 10 -19, 20-29, 30-30, 40 - 49 mini campaigns.

The pvp rank would be capped at something like 2 ranks per tier max. The duration would be permanent with no in-game bonuses. It would be the only campaign you could join at your level and you leave automatically once you are too high level.

The skyshards would be removed too. The equalisingbuffs would be within the tier levels and only apply to health maj and sta not skills. They would buff armour and resist a little too.

This sort of tiered pvp would fuel the economy nicely too. Players would be able to have fun and not ever feel too overpowered.

The only thing adding level brackets ala wow bgs will do is make the population smaller.

Not sure you noticed, but Cyrodiil is already empty.
Aks for a buff to the stats of a VR5, at least it makes sense.

PvP was meant to be an end game activity where they give you the opportunity to help pre max level.

They should add battlegrounds like DAoC had. Thidranki was my second home when I got burned out of the frontiers. The battlegrounds in DAoC were a perfect introduction to RvR for later on. Just some BG brackets with 1 keep and 2-3 towers and maybe 5-6 resource objectives. It would be pretty awesome. And while they are at they can make PvP give experience again so I have a reason to do it before I hit VR12 in 6 months from now :)

Battlegrounds would kill cyrodil, so horrible idea.

    Something, something. Pvp.
    Cyrodiil Issues as of 6/3/2014
    - Massive Lag since Craglorn patch.(Still bad lag on "Laggajack" NA and some other campaigns.)
    - Forward Camps and other Siege bugging out frequently
    - Caltrops granting Immunity to Siege Weapon Damage
    - Massive Faction Imbalances in Most Campaigns / Several Dead Campaigns
    - Mercenary Mage Spam (sometimes causing them to go invulnerable)
    - Players exploiting Keeps/Scrolls through DK Chain Pulls to go around defenses

    Yay Zenimax is doing things.

No they wouldn't and it's quite ignorant to say they would. It didn't kill DAoC's frontiers, why would that change cyrodiil? Also, Cyrodiil is already dead currently, not a single campaign is above low population anymore because no one can take the VR12's two shotting groups of 10 people.

They've killed world pvp in EVERY game that has it.

Cyrodil is already dead. They need to do some of the following
    • get rid of Former Emperor buff/passives (only leads to emperor farming)
    • increase bolster (low bolster decreases population)
    • increase AP and EXP quests frequency (rewards for pvping)
    • add in a Dungeon for controlling inner keeps (rewards holding ground)
    • add in 4 man PUG scenario, no group queuing (boredom fights)
    • add in 4 / 8 man Premade scenario, group only with Guild record board (E-Peen fights)

People reaching the MAX level of the game to PVP is the least of this game's problems.

At the risk of getting completely flamed here...

I don't think the issue with PvP for lower level characters is rooted in their relative strength vs. an enemy, but rather in the complete lack of discipline and small group tactics. Everyone is completely in the fight for themselves. I haven't PvPed very much, but I don't see a great deal of organization and discipline being applied.

If all PvP is running around trying to get the most kills without regard or concern for the other people on your side, then lower level characters will always be at a disadvantage.

Well organized squads, with a clear command structure working together would allow lower level characters to have a meaningful role - even if that role was as a scout or sacrificial lamb. Even at level 37, my bow skill is leveled to 50 and I can hit pretty hard. If I was in a unit with four or 5 other level 37 archers that all focused on a single target at a time, we could do some significant damage. Especially if our archer unit was part of a more integrated plan that had tanks and healers protecting us.

As it is, I PvP with a bunch of my VR guildies, and I do okay. But trying to run solo in the PvP environment does mean that you are going to get owned.
