My base damage for Crystal Shards is a bit over 720. 756 after food. It can crit for over 1.1k damage.
Current Crit 49% (55.5% with thief stone if it works.)

Basically all you need is Overcharged magicka (2k+) and 3 pieces of jewelry enchanted with Increase Magical Harm (spell power). That will boost your single target dps considerably.

Wouldn't this leave your magicka and health regen to the ground, though?
The problem is that only jewelry pieces can grant increased regens. How do you deal with this?

Im running now a weapon power/spell power/crit set up, my average single target dps with a staff is 450-600, my AoE can hit 3K spiked. You just have too watch your magic thats all. It takes allot of skill too insure that you don't run out of magic, something i have not mastered yet myself.

Thanks for sharing, didn't know spell power is so important! Mine is only 95 and normal shard is like 550 and crit around 780.
Possible to also share your equipment as well as your skill rotation?

You went from 350-425 dps to 450-600 dps just by adding spell power on jewelry? Anything else you changed that you can share. Numbers look really good.
Reason I ask is I'm in the same boat as you before you made whatever changes you did. I'm around 400 dps, spikes up close to 500 on good crystal fragment proc fights, but it's total RNG. Would like a little more sustained increase as well.
