It's actually pretty sad how quickly we can kill him and his buddies (even when we are outnumbered and outranked). Honestly come to think of it...it normally takes a substantial group of them to root us off of a resource after we've taken it. And no we don't go hide inside and farm at the doors but to be fair we don't stray to far away from the NPC's so if we have that "oh ***" moment we are within reach of safety pretty quickly.
Honestly I want to say thanks for not partaking in the petty bs that caltrops have set upon all of the other campaigns! Win or lose it's still fun and only a game!
yeah - we have fun matching up against you guys normally until you-know-who shows up
even last night as we were retaking the keeps i was chatting with nasasn (the EP emperor) about where we were so he could enjoy the fun (albeit for a brief time) of all the emperor perks
we met at Chalman and agreed no caltrops and he made an epic and heroic last stand defence - he had oil pots set up around the front flag and was dropping us nicely with the double siege weapon damage emperor bonus - in comes some other folks and start laying down caltrops all over the place - sad to see
we actually have some folks now from an AD group that sees us as the 'evil empire' spraying caltrops all over us to make it look like that's how we run - amusing and pathetic rolled into one - sad thing is when you're on the other side all you see is names and caltrops and it's natural to make the wrong conclusion (we will start using caltrops when we see enemy toons doing the same, usually in wabba)
if you guys are up for some 5v5 or 10v10 in the open with no mages, caltrops, siege equipment etc let me know - I think McTavish(sp?) and co rule usually with even numbers and no exploits, so could be some good fun
and don't lose heart - this set of 90 day campaigns is almost over - i think they will start of with fewer ones on the next cycle so a lot of this bs will be a moot point anyhows

If I am thinking of the right guild then Noore is also trying to get people to stop using caltrops. You should be thankful to be on a campaign that has a guild trying to bring legitimacy and value to the campaign. I would gladly trade you our exploiters for those guys any day.

yup - that would be us - no way to stop it though - it's a matter of honor and character i guess - those that are legitimate will never understand those that cheat and exploit, those that cheat and exploit will laugh at those that don't as they reap in the benefits and rewards - the two sides will never agree
in a direct conversation with a ZOS employee in tune with these things, they stressed just how important fixing this issue was to them, but that it isn't a simple hotfix since it involves not just caltrops, but how many AoE effects work in general, and some intense recoding and rethinking of some game mechanics and how 'fixing' one thing can unbalance another that sets off a whole new chain of events - I was satisfied that the response was genuine effort on their part, and will live with the frustration in the meantime - the fix will be coming sooner rather than later was my understanding (they also unofficially expressed the sentiment along the lines of 'if you can't beat them, join them until we fix it)
lemme know what campaign you are in and maybe we can guest over and arrange a friendly visit *grins*

lets do some math today.
scout mission = 11k exp at veteran level 11 every 90 seconds if you have a super fast scout mission. So about 22K every 3 minutes.
Craglorn = 37K exp at veteran level 11 every 3 minutes running back and forth between two locations.
Im the guy that is fighting to get the best exp for everyone and not a cheating exploiter as some would have you believe.
*sigh*
All the exploiting/cheating is why we can't have nice things. I'm so very tired of it. This is why PvP turns into a hellish nightmare in every single game - because inevitably, it attracts that small minority of ill-behaved players. It's a shame, really, because the PvP here can be tremendously fun until you are struggling against people using exploits.
Im glad I live in the USA and have the freedom to say what I feel. Bottom line is I said what I had to say and feel better now.
Im glad i live in the EU and have the freedom to say you are an idiot, Thorkel.
