Can I please wear some pants?

Since it seems that Zenimax has created a situation where it is simply not the most viable option for the Nightblade to wear medium armor and be the sneaky dual weapon wielding assassin type class that I was hoping for, and if I want to do any sort of raiding or high level group dungeons I have to wear cloth: could you please make some cloth armor that isn't a dress? If I am going to have to wear cloth armor, I would like to at least look like I'm an assassin, instead of some crazy man sneaking around in a woman's night-gown.

Cloth pants are craftable, the "dress" is in the torso slot and fits over them. So what you really want is for them to allow you to craft Tunics.

Not disagreeing, there should be a toggle to allow you to craft both for the torso. (without relearning those traits)

I dunno, sounds like the perfect cover for an assassin to me.

Personally i always play pantless. Pants are too restricting.

+1 Your best bet right now is wear light armor and cover it with a disguise. There is one medium armor looking disguise that I picked up in Auridon (if I remember correctly). The robe seems impractical even for cloth wearers unless they fight standing still.

Yea, I've thought that even on my Sorc. I would never wear some super long robe when tromping around the countryside, and especially not when I'm fighting people. I would like to see some cloth armor like we saw in Skyrim; I think the college robes actually looked quite practical.

I'm a female, play a sorc (light armor) and STILL find the lack of option to wear pants highly irritating.

Wore that all the way up to VR. Now using a selection of golden saint/dark seducer costumes (VR reward) and the servant garb from the glenumbra quest. And ofc the occasional skeletal tranformation.

But I really DO wish we had better light armor options... than a thick long dress. No offense, but if I wanted to always cover myself I'd be living in the middle east.

Well you can actually loot light armor chest pieces that aren't robes, but you can't craft them.

    Which sucks.

I'm a dual-wielding, medium armor NB and I dominate 1v1s... Just throwing that out there.

And I don't even use shadowy disguise. Man-mode baby!

First off, what level are you? Second: At the risk of deviating form the topic, 1v1's aren't the issue. Any class can dominate 1v1, in vet zones you don't encounter 1v1 very often, its usually groups of 2 or three, and Crowd control is required to survive, which means lots of magicka. Also, in dungeons and raids you need to be able to do a lot of high sustained damage, and since a NB's highest damaging abilities are always goig to be class abilities, that once again means you need lots of magicka, regen, and spell cost reduction, which all comes down to the fact that if you want to raid and to end game group dungeons, you have to wear light armor.

I don't like it, but it is what it is until Zenimax changes it, which I hope they do soon.

My Nightblade "caster" uses 5 Light, 2 Heavy (Chest and Legs) so that he isn't walking around in a robe. I've actually been pretty satisfied with the looks, that is untill i get some glaringly different piece but its easily replaceable.
I knew i was going to be disappointed in Light Armor when i saw the first Warlock's Robe in my 20s. UGH-LEE

And when you add to that the fact that few of their skills really require a melee weapon in hand (you can "backstab" with a staff), and I can see why...again...a class that has some great/cool concepts revolving around melee and sneak ends up being a staff wielding dress wearing ninja.

I'm VR11. I also have no problems w/ groups of 2-3 mobs in PvE, although PvP is my bread and butter.

I'm probably spec'd like no other NB you've seen before, to be honest.

I don't use a finisher, I don't use flurry, I don't use shadowy disguise (when I dual-wield), I don't use the class HoT, and I DO use marked target for melee.

I wear a heavy bp for that militant-mage look. I don't mind robes, but ESO doesn't stock robes. Robes are open garments that can be closed with a sash, belt, or buttons. The offending light armour pieces in ESO are undeniably dresses.

I can visualize a wizard rifling through the inside pocket of her robe for spell components, but it... disturbs me to imagine a wizard looking for spell components by lifting up his dress. I don't want to know.

My strategy involves engaging with a sneak weapon heavy attack, going Invis for high crit % and nukeing mob with Strife, nuke with Crushing Shock once or twice (depending on how much health i gotta eat up), throw in another invis for a Crushing Shock crit, and finish with impale. All the while mixing in light and heavy attacks. Its a heavy magika build, siphoning strikes is on my resto staff bar for when im healing and need some resources back. Also, play around in Refreshing Shadows, it is a very undervalued skill. I love putting refreshing shadows down, and just heavy attacking with my Resto Staff and popping mutagen :) mobs melt
