Keep hearing a random deep earthquake sound effect ever since update in the game no matter where I'm at. Dose it got something to do with the new content?

Nobody has heard this sound effect in game? Its a very low base deep rumble sound that last for about 5 sec. Its completely random and It dose not matter where I'm at in the game. And I have heard it on my other toons as well.

A dark anchor or fissure dropping maybe?

    Possibly thunder?

No, not thunder, it happens in clear sky.

Truly, it sounds just like one would expect a cartoon earthquake ought to sound, but there's no screen 'jitter' to accompany, so, I'm with the OP and wondering whats up...

I do remember having a look around earlier today after hearing some deep rumbling. Thought it was an anchor, but I didn't see one anywhere with view distance on max, and the skies were clear. It only happened once though, and could've just been something else. Are you perhaps playing in a Morrowind area? There's supposed to be quite a bit of seismic activity over there, so some small earthquakes would be very normal.

I hear it a lot in cyrodiil. I thought it was just the aftermath sound of the dreaded bolt escape.

I heard something like that earlier, but as I was in Stonefalls I just thought they'd made a change to the 'volcanic eruption going on nearby' sound effect. I will listen out for it in other places now and see if it happens elsewhere.

I vaguely remember hearing a deep bass note - I have no idea what an earthquake sounds like (apart from a lot of screaming and breaking glass)

I heard it in Stonefalls I figured it was the eruption as well... it was REALLY LOW and LOUD!!! It actually make me look around to see what was going on..

i was hearing something very similar and i thought it was simply bolt escape by an enemy somewhat distant and happens alot ever since the last patch.

but, now that you say it sounds like an earth quake distant away, it does sound like you are right,

i do hear what your talking about tho and every time i hear it i take a good look around me making sure enemy not nearby. it is true that i did not hear it before the patch. it has only been since this last patch that i hear it about once every hour.

It's all the sorc Bolt escaping everywhere everytime all day long. Too much of them start to implode the continuum of space time. It announce the end of the world for too much warp. It is rumored that our big bang early universe start is their exploit results.

Thankfully the very few earthquakes I have encountered have just involved things shaking a bit, no screaming. I'm in England and we do get earthquakes but usually of low magnitude, just a bit of low rumbling and stuff shaking for a few seconds, not usually anything that causes much damage. Or screaming.

That's the Mistform power of vamps. When you hear it it means there's a vamp player nearby and you pull out your Silvery Bolts.

I hear it constantly (and in just one example of location) while in the bank in Vulkhel guard.
I'd not expected there to be constant vampire activity there for the passed 2 weeks or so....?

Like just this morning: Every 2-5 minutes or so for the passed 2 hours while in and around the bank and guilds?

Yes, I used to hear it in Daggerfall only. But now I hear it in other areas, too. I wouldn't describe it as an earthquake. More like a massive gear turning.

Yeah this, unfortunately I cannot silvery bolt anyone who is just in the bank.
Can banks not be made a magic free zone? Honestly it does my head in sometimes, I'm trying to sort my inventory and there's a bloomin' pyrotechnics display going on around me. "Put your staff away love, I expect you're just over-compensating" is the sort of thing that goes through my head when that happens.

Yes, I noticed this last night also. Thought it was Anchor dropping or someone casting, but realized it was not.

It's not really bothersome but it grabs your attention and is definitely better than that paranoid superstitious old lady's voice announcing "It's HERE" all the time. I've tried to help her. Really, I have but I can neither find her or whatever is "HERE".

@twev There is a dark anchor nearby that makes noise every time it drops. You can hear it clear and loud in and around the bank ...

Can definitely recall hearing this in Hollow City, Coldharbour - that protected enclave , for those who haven't been there, that's nothing like the rest of it. A couple of times it made me think something was going on in and around my house (headphones) so I went AFK to check no-one was breaking in/no road accident etc.

No, I'm playing in the Daggerfall Covenant atm.
