Getting no XP while in a group.

While my fiance's toon is stuck in Cryodill, we decided to level our little alts together.. all of a sudden I stopped getting xp when I leveled to 10..
I dropped group and I was able to gain XP but when I grouped up again it stopped the XP gain..
