UPDATE http://n4g.com/news/1523048/the-elder-scrolls-online-50-off-2-months-after-release

ESO is now 50% off which is even more proof that they plan on making up their profits when consoles release!

The State of PvP in Elder Scrolls Online

Caltrops bugs, broken classes, spam teleport stuns, invincible guards, exploiters, botters, the list goes on and on.

I am a dedicated fan of the game but this is getting old fast. It makes me so upset that they could keep *** up this bad and do nothing about it. The clearly do not care about their PC Player base and are using us as testers for their console launches.

Another reason I believe they are using PC as a test is that it is fiscally reasonable to do so!

Skyrim Sales Statistics Data

Skyrim units sold in the first 48 hours 3.5 million

Skyrim units sold in the first week release 7 million

Skyrim sales in the first week of release $450 million

Total Skyrim units sold 20,270,000

Total Skyrim sales revenue $1,290,000,000

Highest number of concurrent players on Steam 320,000

Skryim Sales By Platform

Xbox 360 59 %
Playstation 3 27 %
PC 14 %

Above is raw verifiable data from Statistics Brain
That means that only a measly 2,837,800 copies were sold for pc
Compared to the 17,432,200 sold for consoles...

If you were developing a game for Xbox PS3 and the PC, let me pose this question. If you wanted to make the most money which area would you be focusing on? Consoles, or PCs, I think the numbers are pretty clear. And given the developers behavior and stances towards PC and Console in the past month, im pretty sure this paints a clear picture.

As soon as they said we were going to be allowed to transfer from PC To Console alarm bells went off in the back of my head.

And for all those who naysay. I love this game, but they are making it really hard for me to stay here. It should not take weeks to fix game breaking bugs, Haste has been broken since launch, caltrops is still causing us to be immune to siege and is being relentlessly exploited, and balance is not being addressed at all.

On That note lets talk about balance for a moment.

This is how your going to balance pvp.

Put a large mana cost on Sorcs teleport

Make it have a cooldown of at least 6 seconds.

Burning damage needs to be toned down

Dragonknights standard needs to do either damage or defenses.

It shouldn't snare, give defenses, and do damage. - This should also apply to the night-blades veil of blades.

They should only do one or the other.

If you fix those 3 items, the quality of life in PvP Will improve immensely.

An Example of the problems

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBaZJ9wk1jc&list=UUgQV7yPWpICavGqC9kN04jg

In conclusion, us PC Gamers need to prepare for the possibility that our client is going to be put on the back burner. Since evidence so far points to consoles being the priority of the development team.

come to find out they put all the controls in the client - GG there zenimax - welcome to hackers paradise....

It was a good try but once again another in-experienced indy company drops the ball....

you would think companies that make MMO's would be smart enough to know this these days.

again, pvper's pack it in, there is little to no hope for ESO.

unbelievable, and yet believable after seeing what bot farmers are doing. I doubt they are going to be focused on banning these players b/c of how slow the pvp fixes have been with this company. As for the hackers, they don't care. They don't care anymore b/c they probably gave up on this game and instead of un-subbing, just gonna get their jollies b4 getting banned.

Pro Tip: Form a group of 4 and hang out with the zerg. Now you can claim you only run with 4. I'm l33t

This actually might not have been intentional (no idea the circumstances here). I was playing with a friend the day after the 1.1.2 patch. He is a Sorc as well and went into a zerg at one of the bridges to bat swarm. He started asking me if I could see him, and he was indeed invisible to me as well as the other faction.

Of course, we had a good laugh and he stood in the middle of the zerg casting spells for a few seconds in disbelief. Then he was randomly teleported UNDER the bridge....still invisible. He finally just went and stood in some AoE to die because it got old. Hasn't happened to him since, and I can tell you without a doubt that it was not intentional on his part. He sent in a bug report on it as well.

    It's not a bug, it's a feature!!!

I'm sure they'll start to look at it when they get done adding the Thieves guild, and dig into the Nightblade fixes, and maybe when Wabba comes back up.

ESO is a Joke. Let's just admit it...

So you are saying Microsoft is really the owner of ZOS? That would actually make sense if it were true. As to the bug being fixed, let's ask 1 simple question.

Does this bug in any way effect the ability to level without having to grind or generally effect PvE in any way?

If no, then you will see a fix for this sometime in the next 12 months.
If yes, then be sure they will hotfix this sometime in the next 24 hours.

reminds me of the exploits in Asherons Call PvP and Shadowbane PvP.

The motto in AC was "exploit early, exploit often" Because the devs took forever to fix anything and would never acknowledge anything was wrong (sound familiar?) and there was no penalty for people exploiting.

Shadowbane the beta testers had scripts that could remain perma-invisible and could teleport entire groups of people to an island that was inaccessible and instantly kill you.

however, these were among the first MMO's with PvP and hard to predict what people would do...but in 2014...we certainly should know better and the tools and technology are light years better than what those developers had to work with.

and so we have ESO....in its current sad, pathetic, broken state...lying limp on the ground....taking a dirtnap

R.I.P. Elder Scrolls Online....you should have just stuck to the single player games - which were also buggy and full of exploits :)

Dk's and Sorc's and even templars to a lesser extent can blast through mobs at vet levels, NB's have to... be creative. There's always going to be that guy who claims you can kill a 5 pack with no issues with a resto staff in stamina gear, but for most people it's like hitting a brick wall.

Once you hit Vet 1 as a NB, everything you did in the previous 49 levels no longer works and you need to change everything. Every other class just keeps to keep doing what they have been doing.

2 months and they are "looking into it" with no fixes on the horizon. They still haven't issued a fix for caltrops so 1.2 isn't coming anytime soon. Total joke on their part. No excuse for having a fully dysfunctional class at this stage.

It's almost like Zenimax doesn't give a *** about PvP people.
    Cyrodiil Issues as of 6/3/2014
    - Massive Lag since Craglorn patch.(Still bad lag on "Laggajack" NA and some other campaigns.)
    - Forward Camps and other Siege bugging out frequently
    - Caltrops granting Immunity to Siege Weapon Damage
    - Massive Faction Imbalances in Most Campaigns / Several Dead Campaigns
    - Mercenary Mage Spam (sometimes causing them to go invulnerable)
    - Players exploiting Keeps/Scrolls through DK Chain Pulls to go around defenses

    Yay Zenimax is doing things.

If this is the case, then it is a significant bug that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. This was just a small clip of what we were dealing with while trying to capture our scroll back. This went on for roughly 10 minutes, while we continued to wipe the other team over and over this perma-invis-batswarm-spellcasting player was able to keep us in combat so we couldn't pick up the scroll again.

Just to be clear, this wasn't just a UI bug for one person. The entire group was in teamspeak and nobody could see the guy, so reporting wasn't even a possibility.

Caltrops, superman mercs, and invisible batswarmers...this is our pvp. I can deal with unbalanced classes by outplaying people, but removing the ability to win exchanges because of some exploits is a game breaker.

Yeah most of my guild has already quit due to bugs and imbalance. The fastest craglorn run in the world is 7 Sorcs 1 Temp and DKs if that says anything.

Max level players are not even close to the problem... the fact that you group them with exploiters means you will never be happy no matter what ZOS patchs.

I do not include the 45 m break, CSR *** ;like you, not me

I felt *** happy, delighted, if it was you love.

PC is not a testing ground for consoles. That's an absurd idea. Do you think they'd have enough good press do well with consoles if the PC version failed by then? Your numbers are not telling at all, either, because you're completely overlooking the fact that literally every single player PC game is easily pirated. This is not the case for console games, hence higher sales for consoles. The other type of game that can't be pirated is a PC MMO. If this were yet another single player game, maybe your numbers would mean something, but it's not. You're also arguing that they spent years developing the infrastructure for the game just to trash it. You're also arguing that having a failed game under their belts would not bother them at all as far as their careers go. It's just nonsense to say that we're part of some big evil testing scheme.

But even if it was a testing ground, why would you expect them to just ignore problems? Generally, the reason you test things is so that you can solve problems. Soo, if we were a testing ground, then we'd also be where solutions would end up being implemented. If solutions are implemented, then the game improves and goes on to be successful. I really just can't find any way to justify your hunch that we're being used.

    1. Console gamers do not read near as much press about games as generally they are more casual.
    2. Thats EXACTLY MY POINT When a PC Game is PIRATED They make NO Money from it. Couple that with this fact this is a subscription based 60 dollar game.

And im sorry but there were not MILLIONS of people that pirated skyrim that's absurd hah.

    3. How is focusing on a market that is statistically larger than PC "Trashing" the game that's just good business.
    4. I did not even argue that...
    5. They are not ignoring problems they are putting them off while focusing on development for consoles and pushing out new content. Which is a huge problem, im sorry but there is NO EXCUSE for class abilitys to be BROKEN 2 months in. Thats absurd and it FURTHER outlines the fact that thier priotitys are in other areas.
    6. Yes they are implementing solutions, the problem is I read more about the CONSOLE version when they do press releases than the PC Version. Compare their CS from pre-launch and now.

" If solutions are implemented, then the game improves and goes on to be successful. "

Tell that to many of the countless MMOS before this that pushed out bug fixes at this rate. Age of Conan, Warhammer, the list goes on and on.
