Veterans missing something after 1.1.x patch?

Before the patch there was this effect that appeared on seemingly all veterans. We never came up with a good thing to call it and never got around to asking what it was, but it was like small multi-colored feathers (or dandruff) that used to float around vet 3+ toons when we moved (i think 3+, was not on friend's vr1 or vr2, but on others vr3+).
I liked, it was cool. It was distinctive and it set chars apart when using immersion.
Anyone know what this was? Was it supposed to be there? Was it removed?

✭✭✭Was it that never ending buff you got from the Wildeking in Greenshade? if yes I am glad it was fixed.
