There is currently only two classes in this game, DK and Sorcs.
Templar's and NB are just 'extras' that have not been removed yet.

well templars and night blades need buffs and improvements. melee style classes/types need super improvements, and damage reduction based on armor needs alot of improvements and so does spell resistance need improvements.

its gonna take a miracle and several months before this is how it should be and you can play how you want.

for now this game is. the elder mages online! featuring archers

It all comes down to being able to 'play your way', and the fact of the matter is, we're being corralled into a certain formula, whether it's due to nerfs that weren't necessary anyways, or due to content that forces a certain play style, it's playing their way. That's not a true TES game by any stretch of the imagination and that's where people are having the issue.

You know, some play this game because it is a TES game and MMO aspect is just unavoidable evil. For many it is the first MMO because of that, and there are people who would never touch MMO otherwise. And it is not a small amount of people.

Would it kill Zeni to leave the storyline soloable (or make it scalable to the group size, not like it is a new concept) and give hardcore grouppers dungeons, anomalies, trials etc?

It is not even about difficulty, the problem is in quest design as well. Even if you can solo mobs, in some quests you still need four people, because you need to bring four quest items, but can hold only one. So if you have a friend you play together with and you are capable enough to duo everything, you still need to find two pugs just to complete the quest. Why?

Seeing how story update(that also introduces a new lore) is made for groups only is frustrating. Of course, if you do not have 4-man group, you can youtube it. But you do not need to pay sub for youtube.

And as for marketing, yes, everyone knew that it is 4man+ group content, but it does not mean we cannot voice our displeasure with this direction. I do not want any future updates to follow this route. So I won't be silent. And I do not want people to be silent. If enough people voice their displeasure with this direction, devs will think on better ways to design next updates (or I hope so).

If I wanted to play a game that forces me to group up to get to max level I would not be playing this game. The end game/group content focus of Zenimax is really turning me away from this game. Adding new group content? Fine, but the added 2 VR ranks is BS.

I still love the game, but it is getting harder and harder to ignore the problems I am having with the direction they seem (emphasis on "seem") to have chosen.

Why would you subscribe to an MMO and not expect to have to "group" with other players? I think most MMOs requires groups to complete end game content (Heroics, Raids, PvP, etc)...

Try Skyrim if you are looking for a single player RPG.

OP had a point. Craglorn, from before launch, was promoted as a group zone. I also do not think someone needs to do Craglorn in order to advance to the max level available for the toon.

With that, Zenimax does need some added content that branches away from what is already there. Sometimes I want to play the game solo and I certainly am not interested in starting a new toon from scratch to go through the exact same quests I already did. This suggestion is merely to keep the game from becoming stale.

Look at the future plans of ESO. Not just what they say they thinking about, but whats actually in the works, with a sort of timeplan even.

My only issue with so much group content being added...

...is that the group system in this game has a LOT of problems.
    • No-lead bug outs
    • Getting kicked out of the game/de-synced when in large groups
    • Can't help on later stages of quests unless you're at the same stage

And pretty sure there's others i can't think of right now. It's early and i haven't had any caffeine yet.

See, this is your problem "You guys can't be serious." THEY. It doesn't matter what you think. It doesn't matter if logically you are right. The PEOPLE decide how things are supposed to be.

The people have spoken. They are a fickle mistress and they will burn your ships to the ground and leave you with nothing after serving them for years. Either do what the people want, or suffer the consequences.
