It is about as you good as its gonna get until they have the fix ready to roll out.
The real sad part about all this to me is; while this is a big problem in PvP, I could live with it as long as the lag is fixed.
I went through the forum and bumped every Caltrops thread , its staggering that with 8 separate threads, huge views and comments there has not been an official update since 'will be fixed after Craglorn'.
This is ruining pvp.
Unlike some threads , such as the 'bolt' ones where there are arguments for and against I have not seen one post that does not want a fix for caltrops.
As its clearly not working as intended what's taking so long to fix it, disable it on a temporary basis, patch it, tell us when you will patch it- but do something, the silence is very annoying...
Please bump this if u don't mind , we may all eventually get a comment ...

No but recognizing a large problem and putting it on the back burner so they can kick out more PvE content is a huge amateur mistake.
The simple answer is it's because it doesn't effect PvE.

^This. Even before the caltrops issue made it mainstream there were only 3 populated NA Cyrodiil campaigns. PvPers have always been a small percentage of the overall player base. They are more concerned with getting the PvE working right since that is where the majority of the player base is at the moment.
As a PvPer, this sucks.. but it's always been this way.

Still no acknowledgement of the constant lag that is plaguing Cyrodiil since this latest patch.

A LOT of the new Cyrodiil lag is from having either disconnects or a sixth group in your raid. If anyone D/Cs, you have to be very vigilant in kicking them from the group and never invite enough to start filling in the sixth group. This won't completely remove all the lag, but will definitely ameliorate a good percentage of it.
