Siege owners should have priority on their own siege.

Greetings and salutations members of the Elder Scrolls Online community,

Has anyone ever experienced that one time attacking or defending a keep, you have to jump off your siege engine to look at the map or send a whisper, and then a random player hijacks the siege engine and fires it at a ridiculous target?

I wouldn't mind this as much if the owner of the siege had the ability to kick the hijacker off the tool, like in other games, but this is not the case. Once you are off your siege, you lose it, unless the hijacker gets bored and moves on.

I don't know what the feelings of the community are on this, but I feel ZOS should give us more control over our own siege. I, in particular, like to spawn multiple siege engines to be more efficient and bring down objectives quicker. This is hard to do when random players steal your siege and hit random targets.

Feel free to post your comments below, and if you believe this is a topic worth discussing, please voice your opinion in a constructive and appropriate fashion to provide quality feedback to ZOS.

Regards,

No one has ever had the issue of random players commandeering their siege? Perhaps I'm unlucky, but it's a rather constant issue that should really be addressed. Why even buy siege if I can't guarantee I can use it?

Happens to me all the time. If i have to disengage from my seige cause of incoming siege or need to defend myself from an enemy, someone steps in and take it.

Spending 7,800 AP on a Forward Camp that bugs out within the first 5 people,
but THEN you can't set up a new one until it gets burned / decays.

People should be able to kick others off their seige.
People should be able to burn their own bugged forward camps
Or, they shouldn't break at all.

If you don't want to lose your siege then don't get off of it. If you have to get off of it to avoid incoming siege damage then the hijacker will soon have to do the same or die and you can take it back.

Of all the issues with the game that could be addressed this, imo, is a very, very insignificant issue. Hijackers can only take your siege if you take yourself off of it first.

I do not know how well-versed you are in AvA, but it's more efficient as a player to use two siege engines simultaneously. You do not have to wait for your siege to reload and you constantly hit your target. Every well-coordinated premade will do this as it is the most efficient way to get things done.

With that being understood, people love to randomly hop on siege. All I'm asking is for ZOS to implement a system for us to kick them off, which has been done in other MMORPGs. It may be insignificant to you, but it can in a lot of ways make the difference between a successful siege and a failure, depending on how the siege is used.

    This.

It isn't a HUGE deal, except when you get the trollish players that will turn your siege away from where it was originally aimed at, literally 180 degrees, then walk away. Or they use your siege to attack the wrong target.

So I agree, the owners of the siege equipment should be able to boot people off of their siege.

I randomly have the problem with sieges being unusable in general.
I will deploy one, then it will kick me out of it and not let me enter it.

Just allow you to 'pack up' your siege weapon even when your not using it but someone else is.
But I heard they are 'nerfing' the use two seige weapons by one person. The siege weapon will no longer 'reload' if no one is using it so you can't swap between two anymore.

Happens to me often & I agree with the OP. We need to be able to boot them off. There's nothing worse than hopping off for a sec to repair & some jackwagon jumps on your seige.

That might be good. Kind of silly seeing these people getting upset about someone hoping on one of their two or three siege weapons.

Of all the issues with the game that could be addressed this, imo, is a very, very insignificant issue. Hijackers can only take your siege if you take yourself off of it first.

Situation 1: You're attacking a keep with a balista when all of a sudden you're looking at a familiar frozen screen. No no no! Not Now! Please don't crash! *crashes* You hurry and log in only to find that some random player named oprawindfury has hijacked your siege engine. You whisper him to get off but he doesn't budge. Those are AP points you will never get back.

Situation 2: You're attacking an enemy keep again. This time you're receiving fire from enemy fire ballistae. The red ring of death appears at your feet and you very narrowly alt out and escape. Only to have some random player named Barely Legal hijack your siege engine. You whisper for them to get off but they refuse to budge. You then jump around and do a series of weird movements near said hijacker in order to entice enemy fire ballistae to shoot at your position. No luck. Those are AP points you will never get back.

Situation 3: You're defending an inner keep. The enemy are pounding the postern door. You setup a siege engine in preparation. You open your skills menu and adjust a few spells. Upon exiting the UI you discover an Argonian named Steals-Your-Siege has hijacked your siege engine. Hey at least they're honest about it, but that's a total aside. You whisper again to them in a vain attempt to reclaim what is rightfully yours. No luck. Those are AP points you will never get back.

My point is there are times, whether accidental or intentional, that you leave your siege unattended. While others having the ability to use your siege is awesome, I would like to make use of the AP points I spent on it. Having the option to kick people off your siege, I believe, should be implemented into the game.
