Forum Suggestion: remove the Announcements

The blue and yellow box of announcements that are forced on the top of the forums are very annoying and make browing the forums tedious. Could we have the option to close them or remove them entirely?

Not on Android. I tend to read these forums through my Android 4.2.1 phone in the Dolphin browser and have lots of scrolling to do with each page that I load, as there's no X in there. I doubt it has to do with not being logged in.

@ZOS_MichelleA, I must correct myself. It does matter if you're logged in or not. On a whim I logged in last night on my phone, as I hadn't done that before as it's a bit of a hassle with the small keys and fat fingers, and all.ZOS_MichelleA wrote: »Thank you, for pointing this out. But I logged in and noticed that the state of the announcements seems to be per account, not per device you use. As after I logged in, the announcements were gone on my phone.
Still, having that option of clicking the announcements away available for when not logged in would be nice as well.
