ESO needs to be Archeage

After completing most of the PVE content, I'm left with not much to do. PvP is just a zerg fiesta with no real skill required. Capturing keeps doesn't feel like your actually doing anything for the benefit of your faction. I had my fun with PvE and PvP, but now the game has become an empty shell with nothing more to do.

Does ESO have plans to keep people around? Adding more VR levels is a joke!.. A gear grind gets old fast. I really enjoyed this game, but all my friends are now in Archeage Beta having a blast. Its more fun to watch my friends play Archeage, rather then actually playing ESO, or any game for that matter.

In Archeage, you can have full naval battles, or simply go out on a fishing ship and fish or drop crab traps. You can drive a submarine underwater and explore, or fly in the clouds with a gilder. The game has airships, and vehicles you can drive on land. The game is about 100x larger then all the ESO maps combined, plus there is "0" zoning!!! plus you have this huge sea to explore. You even get to farm underwater. In ESO, you get to only swim on the surface(boring!). There are no invisible walls or fake fish attacks when you swim out too far. Archeage also has full open world PvP. Hell.. the game has a Judicial system(wtf!! lol). You can go to prison for your crimes, or get a jury summons to help judge someone.

I cannot afford to play Archeage unless I get an invite to beta, so I am stuck with ESO. Please give me reasons to convince my friends to come back.

Please, please, give me a reason to continue to play ESO.

No trolling please. This is a serious cry for help.

It's actually still in alpha. Started playing it myself. It's a lot of fun if not a little twee. But there's always something to do. I'd much rather be playing ESO. If they could hold off breaking stuff with every patch.

And i agree - if the ESO endgame is going to be just pointless grinding for pointless grinding's sake then the game is doomed to go ftp inside 12 months.

Archeage concept is awesome, but it took a really long time to develop and I hear it's a grinding fest. Will still try it out nonetheless and see how it's like.

Anyways, TOS might close this thread. But I feel that they really need to push necessary contents faster.
People keep telling me they're gonna buy me an ale. They never do.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's culture. And the Elves.

ESO can not be ArcheAge. It's simply not the same game. To make ESo a sandbox, you would have to remake the game completely.

While creating ESO there was two route possible: making a sandbox game, or creating a RPG game. And Zenimax didn't choose the sandbox route. If you want to play a Sandbox, play ArcheAge. Not ESO.

People need to start to accept games for what they are. Not all games are made for everyone, that doesn't make it a bad game. That just make it a bad game for you! Know whay you like, and play the game that fit you the best.

Now, i'm not saying ESO shoudl not improve stuff...but it can not become like ArcheAge. It's simply not possible anymore at this point.

I'm not 100% sure about the grind, but it doesn't seem too bad. One of my friends hit level 25 in about 3 days or so with casual gameplay. The grind part seems to be more for gathering currency to buy ships and houses and stuff.

Archeage is set to be a free to play game, so I'll hold out for release, or until I get an invite, but ESO is starting to rub me the wrong way. I just wonder what content they could release to keep people interested.

So both these games aren't classified as MMORPG's? They are separate?

Of course ESO cannot be ArcheAge. But what I think the OP means is that it has to offer a variety of experiences. End Game in ESO is just slowly grinding through other faction stories for no good reason. all so you can get to Craghorn and grind some more. And maybe if you're lucky - get to max VR so you can be competitive in PvP.

There needs to be more because that gets old very fast.

I want ESO to succeed. It won't on the Course it is on, particularly as it seems the captain and the Navigator are drunk.

I want more variety of experience than a never-ending slow bug-ridden and gold botted to death grind.

I get what you mean about ESO, putting judicial 4-6 months down the road is plain stupid. I know some who bought the game for Dark Brotherhood or waiting to buy only when Thieves come out.

I'm very wary about F2P Korean games, usually a longer grind than usual.

AA while technically still in alpha in the NA, has actually been an MMO thats been out for years overseas. They will have more content just because it has seen a lot of content patches. It will also be in Alpha and Beta for a shorter duration before the game launches.

At the fail rate of ESO (nerfing biting jabs, nerfing templars in general, all the bots/hacks, and all the bugs) is driving players away in droves.

ESO has a ton of potential but it is not capitalizing on it.

    1. Remove VR levels entire but leave the VR content. The VR gear is converted to level 50, but add base stat limitations to it.
    2. VR content is the same with all the difficulties. What changes is instead of earning Vet Ranks completing quest and clearing zones a player earns an increase in base stats instead. (Equal to what it is currently; IE: 12 vet levels equals 12x15 health =180 health. Now that 180 health will come from completing quest in those vet zones and Vet 12 gear will require a player to have that 180 health increase to wear.
    3. Add VR12+ faction maps with updated quest. IE: Once I complete all 3 factions a players original faction unlocks that is all max VRs. The storyline continues and does not reset (IE all quest are new and not repeats of what was done in original zones). Do not need many quest and make these random and require a player to find them.
    4. Add housing
    5. Introduce small scaled PvP with Rankings. Cyrodil is great and all but there needs to be some small scale PvP like 40v40, 20v20, 10v10, 5v5, 3v3 that is based on skill and not totally random.
