Hey,
So, I was thinking there should be more to grinding V1-10 than collecting a bunch of skill points that are only really good for levelling crafting. Especially as the skill curve is considerably higher and the grind is....grindy. To say the least.
Enter the world of VR passives. Here's some ideas, which could be class or racial unlocks once you reach VR1, and a system where you can only choose one passive per VR rank (ok, the names are just placeholders):
Vet go boom: 5% more damage.
Morph: 10% more damage / 5% more damage and heals self for the same damage.
Vet wall of blockingness: 10% more block effectiveness
Morph: 25% more block effectiveness / 10% more block effectiveness, restores Stamina over time when blocking heavy attack (one proc at a time, so no multi-target benefit
Vet Clean up: Instantly kills all bots in Coldharbour
Morph: kill all bots in Coldharbour and restore one health per bot (max 1000 health) / kill all bots in Coldharbour and restore one magikca per bot (max 1000 magicka)
(This would need a cooldown to avoid players becoming invincible)
Vet crit: 5% more crit on spells / melee
Morph: 10% more crit / 5% more crit and 25% more crit damage
...etc.
This would provide some benefit to Vet ranks, increase power against the grindy vet content, and - especially as you won't be able to choose *all* of these, you have to be selective - really importantly it will add more variety to builds.
