Should Caltrops be removed until hotfix?

Currently there is a bug where friendly caltrop are mitigating damage from enemy seige. Defense to save walls/doors from crumbling pretty much nonexistant. Yes you can counter being hit by doing the same thing but defending breaks in walls with oil pots or above gates with oil pots can be completely negated with one set of enemy caltrops.

    The one thing thats crazy is that when vampire batswarm got out of hand they fixed it within a week or so, I would hope to expect that with this being an ability that anyone can use they'd fix it faster or resolve it faster. In my opinion this is worse then the previous batswarm.

    You cant just remove abilities in a live version of a game. I don't understand why people continue to ask for it.

    What you should be asking for is an immediate hotfix, but sadly since they were not able to compound the code into yesterdays patch the issue seems to run much deeper.

    After a lengthy session of PvP, last night, I noticed how all pervasive abusing the exploit was. My team, their team,... total BS is what it was.


    It needs to be fixed, ASAP... and if that means a temporary withdrawal of them from the game... fine.

    There is literally no reason you can't disable an ability that is allowing for a game breaking exploit until it gets fixed.

    The fact that its not a class skill makes it an even easier decision.

    Maybe they should put the fix on PTS so that when it goes to live it can not only do what its doing now but will also make you immune to all damage types when it goes live.

    Or thats the way I see how their patches work

    Everyone wonders why pvp is damn near dead not even 2 months in....just look at the turtle speed devs at ZoS.

    Yes, it needs disabled, even if only in Cyrodiil until fixed. Not being able to use defensive siege is a game-breaker and makes defense incredibly difficult, even moreso for an underpopulated faction.

    Wow I didn't realize the previous posters were all devs. Think before you post. Caltrops and mercenaries both should be removed until they are fixed.

    A disabling of that skill is needed. If they couldn't fix it shortly after it was first brought to light, they should have removed it a long time ago until they could fix it.

    As it is Caltrops ruins the PvP.
    Stopped PvPing shortly after it got out of hand and PvE alone is not what will make me stay on ESO. So would really appreciate if it got either fixed very soon or disable of the skill itself.

    It was supposedly supposed to be fixed right after 1.1 hit. Not sure what right after means in their book but maybe it hasn't happened yet.
