ZOS, why am I getting rolled back over and over again?

I've been getting rolled back repeatedly since this patch has gone live today. Please explain what is happening, why it's happening, and most importantly what is being done to fix it. It is severely hampering my character progression.
Zera Stormborn - VR 12 Sorc
Zera Strife - VR 6 Nightblade (retired and made into a crafting bot)

They're supposedly pushing out a fix for it after the EU maintenance. Good luck.0
