Celarus Campaign

Personally i want a normal 90 day campaign (prefer Bloodthorn) to NOT allow Guesting.

90 days or 2 weeks doesnt really matter because the map never resets, just the scoreboard

Good question, rereading the patch notes doesn't mention it.. I hope it doesn't allow guesting or even teleporting to people

If the notes say nothing about no guesting/porting, it's safe to assume it does allow it like the other campaigns do... at any rate, we'll see when the servers go back up.
I'd love to see how a home-only, 200k AP transfer cost, two-week campaign plays out.

Although I do think more then one short-term campaign might end up being necessary.

How is creating a populated campaign punishing them? What does have too many campaigns for the number of players have to do with exploiters and abusers?

This campaign was added for the more casual non-experienced pvp player. If you are want to pvp but you are not sure you should go there learn some stuff and enjoy the short term aspect. Its also a place for players to go who are tired of loosing in the long term campaign.

Zenimax will not merge or shorten the existing campaigns simply because it would be bad form to change them this far along. If you don't like your campaign at this point change your home to the new one and enjoy.

Not sure how this thread turned so quickly to the idea that Celarus does not allow guesting. That wasn't mentioned in the notes at all. There's no reason to believe it would work like this.

Seriously? This is the first time I've heard this mentioned anywhere, and I read these forums entirely too much. To me, this is a big enough problem to merit its own thread (which I will not make as I have no direct experience with using this exploit) and /bug reports.

I didn't say 'creating a populated campaign punishes them' I said dissolving their campaigns punishes them. There is a huge difference.

If they added this for the casuals, they're going to have a bad time. Casual players should just go to one of the underpopulated campaigns.

I guarantee what this campaign will do is cause the movement of all the holdouts from the seriously imbalanced campaigns. They will go to Celarus for a fresh start thinking that "at least I can start fresh here along with everyone else."

And that will then cause further imbalance in the already active campaigns.

This campaign is a big mistake. Not the right direction to go (aside from the fact that they just lowered the overall campaign time -- which they should've done on the main campaigns to begin with.)

No one is bailing on chrysamere. And I can't speak for DC forces and what they did to eu chrys so.... Celarus offers a new challenge so of course we will try it I guess. But I am speaking only for myself right here. FYI

aaaakkk. But I do know you lead ur server alliance. And it would make sense too if you tried to do that... instead of wasting life on a dead server (for EP) that isn't going anywhere this 90 day cycle.

They need to delete all campaigns except AB/Wabba and maybe Celarus... or delete Celarus as well and make the other campaigns every 4 weeks.

Like I said, you can watch Pandamine do it occasionally to play with his friends on the 3rd server. It never really occurred to me that it was that harmful to the game because you can change guest campaigns every 12 hours and it's only 15k AP to change home campaigns. I guess it could be an issue if you have a guild that have 1 home server.. with 9 players all picking a different guest server.. then you could technically move your entire guild to any server at will.. But they need to really crack down on home campaign flopping all the time before I would worry about guilds abusing the "travel to player" mechanic.

I don't know if you can travel to play from the Megaserver, but once your in a Cyrodiil campaign you can travel to another campaign using travel to player only. When you do it there is no animation.. you just eventually pop to the other campaign with a load screen.

The top alliance in the campaign at the end gets a large gold bonus and there are individual bonuses depending on your rank. I recently looked this up and found an old FAQ on the ESO site that for the life of me i cant find today.
