quick question about *Emperor* ...

hey i did a forum-search already but didn't see any official 'green name' reply to this yet...

Just wondering what the reasoning was behind the fact that 'costumes' can be worn by anyone IN Cyrodiil but my Emperor *crown* (armor) costume does not show up once i zone OUT of Cyrodiil...?

Thanks in-advance.

I would imagine it is because you are only emperor in your campaign, not out of it.

How about emperor skills?? do they work outside of your campaign?

This is indeed probably the technical reason. The status 'emperor' is valid in Cyrodill only, so the costume & skills & all other stuffs that change between a regular player and an emperor is available in Cyrodill only.

Thanks for the replies so far. Appreciate it.

    Few follow-ups though...

1: I understand that technically i'm only the 'Emperor' on my home campaign, but imo that just seems like semantics.

2: My Emperor 'skills' (which are only passives btw) DO still work outside of Cyrodiil. - I say "work" but tbh i'd have to literally check the code or combat logs to know for certain; since many passives are still not working properly (like Stone buffs for example) .

3: The Emperor 'costume' (aka crown) provides ZERO benefit nor "advantage" , so i find it illogical to disable it outside of Cyrodiil; especially considering how hard and how much i worked to attain it. The 'crown' is just an appearance and feesibly doesn't affect anyone nor anything in a negative way...just like the TITLE (which does remain outside of Cyrodiil. So if the TITLE can remain, why not the 'armor' too? )

I'm hoping very much that someone from ESO mod/dev team will read this thread and explain to me their reasoning on this.

Because frankly, after nearly 60 days of effort & execution (pun intended) , i was a bit disappointed to discover that my new 'armor' wouldn't appear outside Cyrodiil.

If it gave some unfair advantage over the rest of the playerbase, i'd totally understand. But it doesn't. .

I would be impressed if I saw you wearing your crown outside of Cyrodiil. I would likely even use the /bow emote. :)

With 10+ Emperor's made per day. Having that costume out side of PVP would be silly. @Jochamo would be bowing all day. I guess if the costume only worked for the current Emperor and not ex-emperors

ugh are there really that many Emps crowned per day?! Where do you get that info from? Dev logs?

There are only 10 servers, so how is it possible that EVERY server is allowing for 1 new Emperor each day ?

If that's true, THAT is far more "silly" imo.

'Emperor' should be rare and mean something...imho. (And btw i said this same thing before I actually became one) .

Lol... Tons of guilds and campaigns flip Emperors. All you need is a big enough guild

Well that's disappointing but i guess there's really no way for the Devs to completely account for the depths to which hardcore-gamer Playerbase types will go to 'exploit' the system.

All i know is the way i chose to do it, the ole fashioned way: i worked my Argonian butt off every day for 55 days straight (in the same Campaign even though our Pact was "losing" by so much that most everyone else abandoned at the first sign of any challenge) .

Had tons of help of course, naturally, from my fellow EP comrades but imo my way is far more satisfying & rewarding.

To Each Their Own though; just as with anything.

I'd still like to know an official Dev response to my OP question(s) ...but they're busy with 'Craiglorn' stuff im sure., So np.
