For the past 4 nights, AD has been ninja-capping either Arrius, Farragut, Kingscrest, or all three, while EP is off at Aleswell or Alessia or some far-off keep. This really irks me because we DON'T DEFEND, or if we do it's never enough to hold the keep.
The herd is still hacking away at Roebeck or Warden/Rayles while are home keeps all get capped one by one and barely anyone tries to defend. We call it out in Zone chat for 10-15 minutes while they're being capped yet we're ignored. When our Scrolls are threatened, then we counterattack with a fury, but it should't get that far! Certainly not every night!
Last night, AD capped Arrius, Farragut, Kingscrest and BRK before we responded. It was absurd.
When our home keeps are being sieged, get some people off Roebeck/Faregyl and Warden/Rayles and defend. AD keeps doing this and won't stop if we don't try to defend. They won't stop at one keep, they'll keep going as they've clearly demonstrated. Then all the progress we make is undone while we recap our home keeps, and we're back to square one. Get it together, EP! We can do so much better.

I understand certain keeps are expendable when pursuing a goal like Emperor or Scrolls, but when it gets to the point we lose 3-4 of our 6 home keeps, it starts getting out of hand.

Edit: we got lucky tonight, we were able to recap Farragut and save BRK while only losing Chalman and Roebeck.

And while we're busy recapping our home keeps, DC comes in and caps the keeps we just took from them in record time :P

I'm not saying we utterly abandon the western and southern fronts. I'm saying we can't ignore our home keeps, or else the AD does like they did last night when they capped Arrius, Farragut, Kingscrest and BRK before we stopped them. Then we HAD to abandon those fronts to defend our Scrolls and the DC recapped Aleswell, Bleakers and Chalman while the AD recapped Drakelowe and Alessia.

But the AD have basically made a grassfield out of their caltrops makes defending outnumbered really difficult.

all is moot until caltrops are fixed..I defended two keeps tonight and made sure no one was using caltrops in defense against AD while they scattered the ground with them and their siege weapons. Of course they took the two keeps...we died repeatedly to siege weapons while they spread more caltrops.

While you're discussing EP tactics in this thread; Can we discuss the propensity to run in a 90 man zerg and just overpower anything in your path?

Yeah - the lag when your zerg comes over a hill is basically instant death - nm the amount of shield slammers charging me that I cannot even see load on my screen.

So...let's talk about that some too eh? You could run in nice 24 man groups and achieve multiple objectives - no need to run 90+ zergs all over the map.

That's the thing: we don't win when this happens. While we're busy recaping our home keeps, we lose the progress we'd made up until that point.

We didn't seem to have a problem. While AD was trying for our home keeps last night with DC we had free reign of the Imperial Ring for emperor last night. Met some resistance but still was able to get it.

Then we just pushed and back capped DC spread them out then blind sided them in the scroll temple for the win.

Lag on the other hand.... Half the fights we win I don't see majority of the people until they are dead.

Last night we did well for sure, but I still can't get over Tuesday night... 4 of our 6 home keeps capped before we responded.
Plus, we only had 1 Scroll, 3 Keeps and we'd lost Emperor on Wabbajack when the servers went down for maintenance 2 hours ago :(

Zerging in general seems to have increased since the caltrops bug has become more public. Maybe this will change some after they are fixed.

No, that's not what I meant at all. I've seen all 3 factions use the caltrop exploit/bug. Doesn't matter because it's fixed when the servers come back.

I do not see but only 19 others with me when I am in group, and we tend to focus on what we feel is best target to complete the goals as a Ebonheart players. Many times we sit defending keeps against zergfests or we work to capture keeps.
I deal with the insanity of shield bash spam, caltrop zergfesting, scroll hold AP farming, DC/AD hitting EP keeps on two fronts ignoring each other till they really need to, and other broken things that just could irk anyone.
As EP, I signed up for whatsoever comes my way. I deal with it and move onward. My groups have done fine in doing what we can with what we have. Yes, it is moments players in zone chat and on TS grumble about what we see and deal with. It is the cost of attrition in PVP. yet we still log into the war in hopes to make a step in fighting a good fight, no matter how small (or big) the effort can be.
There is a lot of land in Wabbajack, as well other campaigns (so I am told). Yet seems this is the best place to be as everyone is here to hang out. So hope to see you somewhere doing something. Have fun doing it and lets make the best of it.

I promise you it wasn't the general EP population running all over the map lol.

Last night we did a tour of Cyrodiil actually. From BRK all the way round South and then back up to Warden and the Temple.

Oh Draevan, you fool. You thought ZOS actually cared about us PvPers :(
    Cyrodiil Issues as of 6/3/2014
    - Massive Lag since Craglorn patch.(Still bad lag on "Laggajack" NA and some other campaigns.)
    - Forward Camps and other Siege bugging out frequently
    - Caltrops granting Immunity to Siege Weapon Damage
    - Massive Faction Imbalances in Most Campaigns / Several Dead Campaigns
    - Mercenary Mage Spam (sometimes causing them to go invulnerable)
    - Players exploiting Keeps/Scrolls through DK Chain Pulls to go around defenses

    Yay Zenimax is doing things.

It was because ZOS said "Caltrop bug will be soon after the Craglorn patch". I was told it was "In the Craglorn patch" by a Guildie but just read the actual post and saw I was mis-informed.

It was at about 10 PM - We saw Glade under attack. By the time we got there it was gone. We watched easily 90+ EP come out of glade and basically roam around the keep trying to pick off 1-4 DC at a time. I was not only disgusted by the lag around the keep (forget trying to take it back with that lag) but by the behavior of the level 10-49 players swarming over each and every enemy they saw. I stayed stealth by the keep and just watched (in broken frames might I add) the multitude of EP just swarming 1's and 2's.

How is that fun? How is that even decent AP?

Regardless, I really hope they cap population of these campaigns to about 60% of what they are now. I have never played in another Campaign but Wabbajack and it's now basically futile to try to play on after 8 PM EST. I love the daytime PvP but the evening...well...EP zerglings make it a joke.

Are there not any other campaigns you EP people could go to in order to have fun? You regularly lock pop around 7 PM EST and it stays that way all night.

I was PvE-ing my new character but keeping an eye on the campaign populations, I noticed DC and AD dropped down to Medium at about 11pm EST on Wabbajack while EP stayed at Full. That's kinda worrying as 3-way locked fights are usually better, if laggy as hell.
As to other campaigns, there are several campaigns where EP is now doing well, we've made comebacks on Chrysamere, Scourge and Volendrung, though it's mostly small-scale PvP there, usually 30-40 max on each side.

There were quite a few PUGs there but we were a LARGE portion of them. We just circled around the keep and wiped DC as they setup on multiple sides.

It was hardly 1's and 2's. You had 20-30 on multiple sides at some points.

Eventually we left and went to Warden and the Scroll however.

Perspective can be very different although there were a lot of EP there.

I prefer the day time where its EP at medium-full AD at medium to Full and DC at low to medium. That daytime crew of DC usually gets a huge chunk of keeps and pressures the heck out of the baddies that play EP during the daytime.

Then...evening comes...and along with it the massive gatherings of EP. I totally use lagdar at that time of night. So easy to sense when and where to go once it starts up for the evening.

Its always that small group of ad "elite"(more like noobs) that abuses the ever living *** out of caltrops that ninja caps those keeps. At least thats what I have noticed, so maybe after that gets fixed this problem will magically go away.
I wrote a poem that I titled, "The ganker's delight."

As you lay upon the ground, cry not little pawn.
The pain will pass as quickly as my blade did take you,
but my delight will last and you will respawn.
My heart simply cannot contain my joy, when I ply my trade.

The fault lies with you, your skill was lacking.
Now your salt is mine forever, can't you hear the laughing?
Once you were so proud and now you are reduced to this.
    A miserable, loud deuced fool.

With every tear you drip, with every excuse you let slip.
All of your insecurities and worries bring a smile to my lip.
From your despair I have ripped endless glories,
but our affair is over now. Be afraid for I will return for more.

I have received many titles, to my allies I am The sniper Emperor and Grand champion hero of the Pact. However these titles mean little to me, it is the ones given to me by my victims that I prefer. To them I am "Xv1er", "trash", "no balls", "zerger", "noob", "cringe", "no skill", "camper", "100% new", "the reason this game is dying", "pathetic", "a sack of piece of [snip]", "mediocre", "absolute inbred", "beyond a virgin", "ganky dork", "fat smelly 40yr old virgin", "little girl", "daddy", "exploiting loser", and every [snipped] word known to man.
