[Possible Fix] to Error 301 & Login Timeout

Worked for me, let me know if it works for anyone else..

Right-Click your ESO launcher and go into Properties,

Under Properties hit the compatibility tab;

Under the compatibility tab check the following;

-Check run in compatibility mode for & select 'Windows Vista Service Pack 1'

-Check run as Administratior

Make sure launcher and game is fully closed and hit Apply & Ok;

Launch the game thru launcher and see if it works!

I'm a Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 user and this 'fix' did not work for me. I still get the time-out followed by 'Error 301' issue. I also tried several other of the compatibility options, and it didn't work either.

When I enter a wrong password it tells me immediately. When I enter the right one, that's when I am hit by the time-out/Error 301 issue.

I have win 8.1 pro 64 bit. Compatibility mode did nothing for me.

That may work for some, but others (like myself) had server-side issues.

Log into the alternate megaserver (US to EU and vice versa) without problem.
US/EU Megaserver client removed, reinstalled clean.

Can log in again when megaserver is rebooted for maintenance.

A+B = Megaserver, not client, issue.
