This is the scheduled maintenance to upgrade to v 1.06 - it was notified about days ago on the server status forum.

    From the server status forums:

Our team is working on the 1.0.6 deployment for the European megaserver. Unfortunately, some steps in the process are taking longer than expected. We are working to bring back the server online and available and will share updates with you whenever possible.

.....I, too, do not believe it reasonable to try and justify this latest outage under the 'scheduled/forewarned' maintenance banner. There must be some limitation in terms of frequency AND duration of these outages before it must be reasonable to extend customers' gaming credit. To continue with the 'you were notified in advance and this is therefore scheduled maintenance' line - irrespective of frequency or duration - is simply unreasonable/unacceptable & customers will ultimately start voting with their wallets.
-Even as a simple good will gesture, when maintenance goes wrong, over-runs, or when additional bouts of outage occur - I think this would be worth considering?
I'm really enjoying the game - but these seemingly excessive maintenance periods, occasions of extreme latency on the EU server, and gold spammers et al getting [at least partially] blamed is proving increasingly frustrating & is not our, the customers', fault or within our control.
