Since TESO Elite has since been abandoned due to the population decline on PC we have started working on a new online marketplace for traders within ESO.

This marketplace will allow console and PC players to trade in game items for in game currency. Help us make this happen!

Website is currently functional as we continue to work on more features, join us!

Doesn't this particularly conflict with TESOTU ?

I thought trade sites are specifically not allowed

I am not aware of trade sites being "not allowed" being that it is simply another avenue for players to trade in game items.....in game.

O K...this is all I see so I was under the impression you couldn't establish an external website to promote in-game trading, auctioning, etc. If so there would be apps and add-ons, etc. Maybe I'm wrong tho

    see below:

    http://www.zenimax.com/legal_terms_us
You agree that You have no ownership right or title in or to any such Downloadable Content, including, but not limited to, the virtual goods appearing or originating in the Services (such as a Game) or any other attributes associated with any Account or Services. ZeniMax does not recognize any purported transfers of virtual property executed outside of the Game, or the purported sale, gift or trade in the “real world” of anything that appears or originates in a Service or a Game. Accordingly, You may not sell, and You may not assist others in selling, Service(s) or in-Game items for real currency, or exchange those items for value outside of the Services. Evidence of any attempt to redeem Downloadable Content for a purported exchange, sale, gift or trade in the “real world” will result in the immediate suspension or termination of Your Account.

.....Virtual Currency will only be used by You to obtain virtual goods within a Game (e.g., durable goods that become part of Your inventory in the Game and consumable or single use items that are used and expire after use within the Game) or other Downloadable Content, through one or more Services, as determined by ZeniMax in its sole discretion.

I would like clarification from a moderator on this.

I see your point here, however that would mean almost every external site is going against their terms. ie. Reddit, TESO Elite, etc.etc.

That's exactly what this means but its also.....as determined by ZeniMax in its sole discretion.

They get to decide what is allowed and where it's allowed. I'm only sharing what I read cause I thought to work with some folks on creating an app last year....then I realized....NOPE can't do that unless Zenimax approves it.

Realize they have staff accounts on some of those sites you mentioned so it seems it was approved with them but you wont see any active TESO trade websites. You're not the first to think of this.

Seeing that they removed text chat for consoles ...it more or less forces players to out of game / off site trading forums like this. I can't see why ZOS would have an issue with this as it's thier own damn fault and shortsightedness.

I believe they only really care if you're selling the items for actual currency or exchanging gold for $$$, despite what that says... because if not, they're really screwed themselves. Honestly, aside from trading guilds, how are we supposed to trade? I mean, i understand we'll have guild stores and kiosks.... but i don't want to wait 4 months to get that one rare item i could've just bought for a slightly higher price via a trading site. We have no way to advertise our sales except for via word of mouth... which will be fun since everybody will know which crafter is best and has better stock, but still lol.

    I already registered <3
However, despite all i said and the registration, i'd like @ZOS_GinaBruno to clear this up if possible. :open_mouth: It shouldn't be against TOS or anything, don't know why it would be, there was another site similar, but just in case ^.^

Hopefully this becomes more popular. No mods responded, despite the fact that we know they do... skim... over most threads due to the fact of common sniping. XD.
Also, i'm just gonna drop this here.

Keihndeth - As a former TESO Elite CM, I confirm that to indeed be the case. Our new site we'll be moving to is more general gaming based. Never fear though, as just as many ESO articles will be covered there, but with more vlog content. It won't be launching until the end of February (roughly), however. It's to be called Indebted Gamers. Tweet @Garbrac to make him go faster XD

Decrease in game population and website moderators.

I learned about this long ago here: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/looking-to-trade-items-in-the-elder-scrolls-online-bethesda-endorses-community-site/1100-6418981/

There was another article detailing that it was closed due to not being allowed by ZOS. I did not verify this but read what I posted above and concluded it as true.

Just curious if anyone knows for sure.
I've noticed ZOS forum staff is either on vacation or just not doing anything right now on the forums.
Very few dev posts in the last 24-48 hours.

TESO Elite was went inactive due to a lot of the staff at the time leaving the game, Myself I had to step away due to ongoing medical reasons.

TESO Elite was never closed due to ZOS having any concerns or issues with the services / content that we provided it was strictly unstoppable circumstances that arose at the time.

As mentioned earlier, some of the staff who contributed to TESO Elite are now writing for IndebtedGamers.com a more generalized gaming website but still have some excellent ESO based articles. Feel free to check that out if you were a fan of TESO Elite.
