I would LOVE to change up a couple of my characters looks with a coupon bought from the crown store! I'm sure there are many, many others that would love to do that as well. Seriously, its not like people are gunna know that anybody got a new face lift and so what if they did.

Should we be able to change the way our character looks? Yes.
Should it be sold for crowns? No.
This is a fairly basic MMO feature, and the most it should cost is gold. Potentially, it should cost gold per change that you make, and for crowns, you can buy a free change token. But there needs to be an in-game way to pay for it.5 -

Race changes are all well and good, but an Altmer named "Razh gro-Kruul" or an Khajiit named "Solves-Many-Puzzles" just isn't very good.2 -

Is there list anywhere of improvements your working on? Every MMO I've ever played instituted this in some fashion, I mean it isn't as if you're recreating the wheel. It's obvious you're going to charge us crowns, so release it and make some money. I'll pay!1 -
Ishta✭✭Can you please confirm that race changes will be coming? I've just started over from Veteran level to a level 7, only because there's been no confirmation that we'll ever see this. I'd be happy to play my current race for quite some time if I knew I'd see it around this time next year. Would save a lot of us the grief of leveling again and burning out:-)0

What about making the names actually viewable in-game? Because, on Xbox at least, everyone is just their gamertags. Also, what's the point of naming pets and horses if those are never seen ever?0 -

They stated their intendtion to do this many months ago, though I expect a lot of their development resources had been sidetzracked into getting the console release up and running. Now that that's done, I guess they work on all the other stuff that got delayed by it - IC, Orsinium, and yes, character recustomization. And people keep asking for it... me among them... over and over and over again, in an "are we there yet" kind of way... until they will release it, then we'll check it out, and either be too busy recustomizing our characters to give them the praise they deserve, or find faults with it and complain again... that's how it usually goes, here on the forums... 0 -

Thank you :-) It's just that 'working on it' and 'It's definitely coming, we just can't say when or give specifics on how it will function' are two different things. As someone else pointed out, they've said that it's 'being worked on' a year ago. I'm happy to wait, I know they must have their hands full. It's often a lack of clear communication about where the game is headed that gets people worked up. I agree, I want to be able to see characters names along with their PSN ID and gamertag but I can live without seeing any pets name, it would be a mess in a crowd imo.
And for apperance, race and name change, FFXIV (P2P) have that, and it cost real money to do so... But FFXIV also have an in game system to let you change your hair style, hair color and tatoos for in game money. As ESO is B2P, I doubt it isn't in their best interests to make these services buyable in the crown store. Nonetheless, they could implement some kind of a barber in game but expensive and add it to the crown store too, as they did with skill points and attributes, you can reset them in game for gold and from the cash shop as well. x)

Any news on faction change? I've talk some friends in playing ESO but they prefer the other factions. While I am leveling a new character with them, I really don't want to just leave my old vr14 character alone at the original faction. So put faction change on the list along with race and name change maybe?0 -

Could be quite doable, really. A big questline with an "loyalty called in question" theme, where early on you get to decide if you want to stay loyal to your alliance even when they no longer are loyal to you, find out who framed you and prove your faithfulness, or instead defect to one of the others where you may be more appreciated, and spend the second half odf the questline preparing your escapeand courting your new home... (and then a item you can buy in the crown store to "reset" that quest, so you can do it over and over again until you run out of crowns...
)
It would fit in (there are several quests dealing with defectors in the game after all), and it would make sense (especially since meridia made such a big deal about your need to "experience the other alliances" in cadwells silver&gold...)
BUT... since doing alliance change -right- is a lot more effort then just revisiting the character generation screen for recustomization, I expect IF that ever comes, it will come a good deal later...1
