[Suggestion] PvP Naval / Air battles

From a PvE fan:
It would be quite interesting to see some PvP action somewhere on the sea with giant ships firing at each other.
Also, it would be amazing if we could get our hands on some airships in Cyrodiil. Sadly this might never happen due to lore breaking. But maybe there are other worlds where we can have all this fun.

Also both naval and air battles would be awesome if featured in PvE as well.

Now naval battles might be interesting but that leads to processing and gameplay issues. As good as it would be and I did like the naval combat in Assassin's Creed 4

"Yarr, harr, fiddle di dee, being a pirate is awright with me..." ;)

We had a bout of ESO naval battle... when you go after vicereeve Peledil. I could see something like that happening PvP-wise... operating fixed-emplacement siege engines to shoot other ships or summones sea serpents, summon sea serpents and set them on other ships, porta-fuelles boarding actions... but its a "far future" notion, there are literally loads of stuff they should work on before even making a concept for this.

It would work well with a maormer-themed DLC someday though... explore the seas around tamriel, deal with trouble brewing among the sea elves, have some ship-to-ship actions...
    Well, someday perhaps.

Air battles on the other hand? Nope. No place for that in ESO, this isn't a steampunk game, dwemer constructs nonwithstanding. There are no LotR-style giant eagles in ESO lore, no griffon cavalry, no dragon riders, no airships and no dwemer gyrocopters (well, its possible there might be some dwemer relics of the sort, but they'd be hardly operational, and if found, rather unique). There may be flying spells, but those are notoriously problematic, often misfiring one way or another. Not to mention the technical iffyness of making air movement mesh with a ground movement based game, the lag it would add and the rewrites it would need. Better forget about that very idea...

Naval fights maybe if we can also get border sieges like in the 3 fates trailer. As to air ships yea TES lore might be crazy but it's not FF crazy..... OK maybe it is but TES has giant robots (Numidium and Dwemer constructs) instead of air ships.

    Actually dwemer had airships.

Thing is what I was looking for doesn't really fit for Cyrodiil PvP but might come somewhere in the future either as a small scale pvp area/areas either in one huge pvp zone similar to Cyrodiil but on another continent or world where dwemers are actually living. But sadly might not fit well with the curent events so it might break lore. Having such engines in pvp would be very interesting. Even more if they will be extremely rare and costly to build. It would make us watch them Skies. In addition it would be amazing if in PvP and not only we would receive other levels as well. For example it would be awesome if we can use a very extensive cave system beneath earth to come out behind enemy lines.

Multi level design is what i'm looking forward in the future of ESO. Such example you can find on a lesser scale in Skyrim vs Blackreach.
In TES series we mostly delve deep inside the earth but what if we can also go up there in the skies?

Past tense,..had. And Dwemer items are only relics that no one knows just how to fix yet.

Prototypes that were steam powered yes but as we can see it must have either failed alot or the idea never gotten "off the ground" cause the Dwarfs did live under ground. Kinda pointless to have a air ship and no sky to fly it through.

For long distance travels before portals were invented i don't see why they shouldn't used their fly machines? Over the seas they would get a huge advantage over the lesser factions of Nirn.

PS edited the post above too.

Naval battles would be brilliant. I'm all for it if it's done right.

Right after they change the Argonian racial passive to increase swim speed. ;)
Due to a typo in the system, the area was accosted by the Daedric Prince Moar Lag Brawls.

Ive suggested this too, take Cyrodil's destructible walls, put them into ships, add some cool Dwemer cannons, and let players shoot the ships to pieces. I think ESO needs something like this in order to success in the modern world, theres only handful of MMOs what have done it before, so it'd be an instant hit. Also I think it could be possible that sea could tie the zones together, to give better open-world-feeling of Tamriel, what I'd imagine most ES fans absolutely adore, players could freely sail wherever they want, basically they could tackle the exploration matter via it.

This made me laugh so hard... :))

Well its just an idea... a better pvp Cyrodiil version.
I think even better would be a brand new zone similar to Cyrodiil but including underground tunnels (maze of a sort) and airships and naval ships here and there too. Each keep should be dwemerish this time and it must have a shipyard somewhere to the top. Think i'm talking about a new game already but heh... Was an idea...

Those airships could be also used to transport large amount of troops for long distances.
