ressources issues with the last patch

    Unfortunately, this can be due to any number of factors like passives, item sets, Mundus Stones, battle leveling, etc. We can say that we didn't purposely change anything surrounding Magicka regeneration, though. We'll take a look, but please understand that something like this will take some time to investigate. If anyone has any further details that might help, post away!

    So i made a test i stopped in a fight but my stamina was being used further WTH ? Doesn't happen always but it happens a lot of times and its game breaking you cannot do any content PvE or PvP based with this kinda bug. Also there are some issues with regeneration this patch im getting much lower regeneration with same gear even more CPs... You broke something with this patch again, people are leaving the game and you are joking, good job...

    In an effort to see if there's any correlation between anything, could you guys post your class, race, level, and the area you're seeing this happen (is it just Orsinium, dungeons, Cyrodiil, all over, etc)

    I've noticed that in cyrodiil (I'm 99% of the time in cyrodiil) and maybe orsinium (I need more tests). But not tested others areas since the last patch.

    I can give more precisions if needed.

    I feel like this issue, the wonkiness of damage calculations, and the previous thread about Kagnerac's Hope set not providing mitigation are all somehow related...

    Seems like some weird things are going on beneath the surface that are hard to pin down, but are nonetheless having some poor end effects for players.

    i thought i was going crazy. my stam has been getting drained like crazy. sometimes being completely out in the first few seconds of combat, never used to be like this.

    Hopefully this problem gets addressed soon and players need to continually keep this at the top of the forums until it is fixed otherwise ZOS will think it is only a handful of players having the problem and thus 'not widespread enough to address'.

    So I did a quick test today and found something a little odd with casting a Stamina based spell but not with Magicka. I simply cast a spell over and over and used a custom add-on to monitor the exact resource cost. When I cast a magicka spell (Breath of Life) it always took the exact amount on the tooltip (2969 magicka). However, casting a Stamina based spell (Retreating Maneuvers) it would sometimes cost different than the tooltip value of 7056 stamina. Note that I have an idle Stamina regen of 1027.
    • 7056 - Most casts were this value.
    • 6029 (7056 - 1027) - Some casts were this value. Since it is exactly the difference of my idle stamina regen I assume it occurs when I cast exactly on a tick and the values are merged.
    • 8083 (7056 + 1027) - This is the weird one and while it only happened rarely it did occur multiple times. It seems to also occur on a tick but only when I have less than 100% stamina.

    So, I don't know if the issue is just Stamina spells, or because Retreating Maneuvers cost so much relative to my max Stamina at the time (9491), or something else. If you'd like to replicate my results you can download the uespLog add-on and do a '/uespdebug extra' in game to enable the extra output.

    I would be more curious to know if this is repeatable with say, 2H's "Rally" or DW "Steel Tornado", or any other class or weapon Stamina ability... as it would give a better comparison since many players don't use RM but a majority of Stamina players use Rally and/or Steel Tornado.

    With this patch, I found the stamina regen a bit better, but my bow does not restore a whole lot of stamina on a heavy attack even with a 6+% increased recovery from the CP system. My magicka recovery with Heavy attacks is fine though and it is almost at 9%.

    I am also finding that there is a major bug with magicka usage. Regen will completely stop while in battle. Even if you are not using magicka, but are using normal attacks, it will not start regenerating until you stand still and do nothing at all. I am also finding abilities are misfiring more often.

    I have also noticed the Force Pulse/Crushing Shock ability seems to cost more at times and frequently misfires. It also does not hit for the full amount all the time but will hit for half the damage.

    I am now also running into issues where any time I am in a WB fight, with the amount of abilities going off, my FPS goes from 44-60fps down to 12-24 FPS and I have to restart the game to get it to reset. Reloading UI does not work and moving away from the are does not work either. My latency will remain around 112-133 when this happens.

    ZOS.. your proc nerfs to "improve" performance, of course is not working at all and instead appears to have an opposite effect. I have worse performance now than ever. I am also using a 4GB Video Card with updated drivers and it's new.

    V16, Highelf, Sorc and yeah my Magicka Regeneration seems really odd. I never used Mag potions in PvP, now I have to...
    Please fix the game!

    Can you please tell us how long is this bug in the game? Because we had similar thread about stam right after IC patch. I wonder if that's really where it started.

    I hope so... Hope also that you can find the issue with them not regenerating properly in combat. I am finding I have to stop and do nothing while in combat at times to get my magicka to regenerate.

    I am also finding that there are issues receiving heals from other players. While doing V16 Banished Cells yesterday, the healer would be healing the party, but I wouldn't show any heals until AFTER I took a potion.. now I know my potions are good, BUT they don't completely heal me for 20+k immediately after taking them!! This sort of bug is extremely inconvenient and I burned through 30 potions on that last boss alone because of this bug.

    Also, since the last patch I have noticed that any time I am do any of the WBs in Wrothgar, my FPS is going from 44-60fps down to 12-23 fps an the only thing that will fix it is a restart of the game.

    I didn't have this issue previous to Mondays patch.

    4GB GTX 960 & 4790 Core i7, 12 GB ram, 1TB HDD.

    I finished upgrading my armor to all Legendary last night and it did raise my stats a little, but for a short time (like by Spell Crit raising from 25.1% to 28.6%).. then it went back to the same stats I had with a mix of Epic and Legendary armor. (Could this be the Battle leveling issue?)

    Then after doing some WBs last night and what not, my stats then received one heck of a power boost! I mean, WAAAY more than they should. Over 30k each for spell and physical resistance and 3k for Spell Damage and 2.6k for Weapon Damage.. like Woo Hoo.. though I didn't seem to notice any difference in the actual power I had, so this may just be a UI Error.

    AND lastly, I ran into a bug with my mount. My kitty mount disappeared and I was partially in the environment scooting along the ground.

    Now, I know Wrothgar has some very strange foods, but I didn't think trying all of Orzorga's recipes would give me worms!!!

    With this patch, I have actually found I have WORSE performance than I had previously, especially doing WBs with a group of others. So whatever changes you made to dot skills to fix performance, isn't working, it has made things worse both for game play and performance.

    It's the same issue as we have with battle spirit being dropped. Also having people offline in your group affects it somehow and desync of resources wasn't fixed.
    This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno So this identified out of combat issue is affecting us in-combat? I believe in-combat regen is what is affecting us all.
