Radiant Destruction can be dodged - Intended or not? VIDEO

I'm not sure if it is a particular morph or the whole ability in general, but when using Radiant Oppression, the target I was casting it on could dodge roll, and dodge the damage. The animation would still play out, but the damage would not be inflicted for the duration of the dodge.

So ZOS - Is this Intended or Bugged?

    Yes I tested it multiple times with my friend. Another friend also said that on his log is was showing that the enemy dodged the radiant.

    As a Templar main I'm actually ok with this, given the nerf to dodge rolling.

    If you could dodge roll the initial cast that wouldn't be as bad. But whatever ticks occur during the duration in which you have the dodge chance, those ticks are dodged.

    The animation still plays out, just no damage

    Only projectile attacks can be dodged, not channeled ones.

    Problem is the animation is like a bajillion seconds long. If it's dodged right away, the temp is left just standing there with their thumbs up their butt while the animation finishes. In the meantime, the targeted player who is now receiving no damage for the next 3 or 4 seconds, is free to have their way with said butt-thumbed templar.

    If the attack gets dodged, the animation should at least be interrupted.

    Thing is, if it interrupted the animation you would have to keep recasting it after every dodge roll and it would be more expensive, so I'm not sure if that would be better or not given the bonus you get with more full magicka.

    I guess the first question would be "intended or not" for the dodge roll avoidance, and then the exact mechanic of whether animation should break or not can be discussed.

    Least you PC guys still have a Jesus Beam. The IC dlc for console removed all beams from the game. So the Templar hand just glows and the target just lights up. Game breaking because in pvp, you have no idea what is hitting you before it's too late. You can't located the target. No beam on any spell or staff attack that shoots a beam.

    I have noticed this as well. Although, when they leave the roll dodge, I am not noticing any damage resuming. Just as if the moment they roll dodged, that was it. I just kinda wave at them with the rest of my animation as they walk away.

    On a side note, though not entirely painful or in any way bad or anything, it also appears LOS checks are back in, even though they were removed to "combat server performance issues". But the reason I bring this up is that it appears to only be affecting Radiant Destruction and it's morphs. I still have people channel Soul Assault on me through walls I've broken their LOS past.
