Summon Volitile Familiar and make sure its following you, Pop Proxy Det and run in with group.

Toggle off Familiar when det goes off for a 1-2 combo of double 10k damage.

or just get a group of sorcs and send them in and call "bomb" over ts to pop each familiar for stratagic Drone strike.

its actually quite easy to stack enough magicka to make that scamp a lethal bomb, and with Magicka Detonation a sorc can now double stack bombs when they are in groups quite easily... im seriously surprised i dont see this more often since you can do all this while still spamming Impulse or Heals...

Did you know those sorc pets can be affected by rapid? if they are just following you and your group they wont really ever fall behind.

and they get the same main shields the sorc gets so they can be easily made so they dont take damage and therefore take up heals.. since Hardened ward is based entirely on max magicka, building for max Familiar damage will also result in building for max Shields.

if a Emp were to send in this pet solo, that pet could easily oneshot on its own, not to mention what a EMP who times proxy with familair (over 40k damage aoe instantly)

    I tried it while emp and it was disappointing (the pet). Didn't do the damage I was expecting and was just not fast enough in certain situations. When you are bombing multiple people - often zergs - you need to hit them at a specific time for maximum impact. The pet just doesn't allow for this. Maybe if you specifically built for it, and got some lucky crits... Otherwise not really worth it!

    The prox det on the other hand...

    why i commented on using rapid maneuvers on pet before you "launch" them.

    i can currently crit for 10k ingame with them without a build specifically for them, so they have potential, it just requires a group to learn how to use them effectively.

    with manuvers on the pet it will keep up with you pretty easily and will stay about 3-4m from you, dont rely on it dying but toggle it off with Detonation. you should be able to greatly increase the spike.

    Like Any AOE, one alone would never be that useful... im talking about group bombing, 4-5+.

    Its a option, and i really want to see this seriously explored.

    Scamps have legs too, just send them in one after another :p

    The radius is really small though

    Proximity Detonation is nice to have but too situational already. It does good damage so I sacrifice a slot for it. But I don't think I could fit the pet in anyhow. It just not consistent, as casttime ability its only use is to cast it outside the battle. If ZOS would have not nerfed it I would be using it as main dps skill.

    It's not taking spell penetration into account, so I wasn't sure wether I'd use it in open / large scale PvP when 1.6 was still on PTS. But instead of fixing it, they nerfed it with a casttime. They also nerfed Surge to make that useless with the same patch they let the Familiar crit again...
