I get 1-2 game freezes a session since the update. However, tonight I cannot play at all. I either get kicked back to the log in screen with a <<1>> error box after selecting a toon from character select, or I manage to get into the game, but the game freezes after a couple of minutes of play.

Edit: Seems I can get on the toon I have parked in Riften, but I get either infinite loading screens or kicked to log in with a <<1>> box when trying to get on my main toon parked in Rawl. I can also get onto the toon parked in Coldharbour, but the game then freezes within a minute or two of play. I'm on the US server.

Edit: After numerous attempts, I finally managed to get onto my toon in Rawl. I immediately fled to Malabal Tor, only to then have the game freeze. I take this as a sign to move on to a different form of entertainment. Cheers all!

Yes NA Server here as well. I have tried repairing the launcher but that didn't work. I cant seem to get back in at all now.

It has been 2 days since I have been able to play the game. I click to load character and the character never loads . . . just infinite loading icon.

So this problem seems to persist through today. Has anyone heard any comment from ZOS regarding this issue and whether they are working on it?

I saw it a couple of time again today... again only Reaper's March, AD-side. During high prime time evening for the EU server.

I had no problems whatsoever logging in this particular char earlier during the afternoon and again just now.
This kinda suggests <<1>> error should read: "sub-server too full, try again later".
Only a wild speculation of course...

This is really starting to frustrate me. I was able to get in on some of my characters, but there is one, my MAIN, that I cannot play. Swapping from another character doesn't work. Restarting game doesn't work. It always get's stuck on load screen after selecting him.

I have done the repair, restart, driver updates, rollbacks, updates again. Nothing is working. Submitted report after report. I don't usually get all crazy about these things but I don't get to play much because of work, so not being able to ever play my main character (and my alts most of the time) is incredibly frustrating. I've searched a bit but haven't seen any dev response to this.


EDIT: If I just let the load screen stay up, after awhile i get the <<1>> error

It seems it now only affects that one character. I have gone though each of the others and they load. This is the only character I just can't log into. I always get the error.

This happens with and without any addons.

Hey blabafat I noticed that bug. I started to just let it stay open to wait it out. It just stays on the load screen for awhile and then gives me the error <<1>> everytime. It's just on one character. I don't get it.

I cant even login with some of my characters since 1.6 launch. When loading screen is full i just get a crash and if i am lucky i can take few steps.

I was getting infinite loading screens, 30-minutes loading screens at every corner and door, and random loading screens of the same length while walking or standing around, and neither the support could help (they really tried and checked everything they could!) nor could I change anything. This was the case for the last 2 weeks, right after update 6.

In one of these millions of postings like this, I could find a solution which was "my last straw"; it was actually about getting a blackscreen and the game wouldn't start at all, but after checking out my usersettings file, I noticed some significant differences to the old one.

So in THIS thread (first mod posting, in the spoiler) is, apparently, an older version of it, without all these console lines and whatever else (you should compare it to the current one, I don't know if anyone noticed yet..).

I copied/pasted it in a new usersettings file (don't forget to backup the current one, you never know) and ran the game.
Result: it works like before the update, I couldn't trust my eyes when the loading screen only took a few seconds and even without an error (<<1>>, I had that, too)!!

I have to add that now it crashes much more often than before the update, but I think this could be something that can actually get fixed somehow. Like when the game launched, the crashes like I got in beta (every few seconds, minutes at best!) where gone.

What I've noticed: often when there's a problem with starting/running the game, it has something to do with the usersettings file.
I remember my first 1 1/2 beta weekends where the game didn't even start (the blackscreen issue) until another user found out and let us all know that this files was missing and gave us a copy.

Next time I run into an issue, I'll definitely check this file at first before doing ANYthing else...

PS: the file will change after you run the game with it to the after-the-update version and it will still work, but there must be one or more lines which are the issue, I didn't compare yet which ones exactly.
