ESO the Year Ahead, Console Chat and PVP

At the beginning of the year they promised to be concentrating on adding text chat to console versions.

They could have brought console chat with thieves guild but it appeared they put it off for dark brotherhood.

They touted Console Chat which is a basic necessity as a upcoming feature, but now word of it making into the game yet.

There fix to cryodiil involved shutting down Azuras Star populated server which they had already said they can not fix. Now Scourge in prime time is worse than Azuras ever was, I have been dropped out of the game not once but five times in one day for having a meteor dropped on me.

It seems that the two most important thing they should be doing the game are being ignored.

Maybe just admit PVP is broken and create some new server. Burn the old ones.

Why even promise us what you know we want with no intention to deliver?'

Hoping for word on console chat in DB soon!

it will be here by year end but probably in Q4 not Q3 which is DB patch I was hoping for it in DB as well but hey I can wait a little longer for It so it works properly

They promised more features, I would give up hope yet....

this they did they said and more but I would think it would be such a change to the game it would need more time. I have been on the fence about it. Because it says and more and with the TG the combat text came so I had hopes to hear more being the text chat. But realistically I believe it will be in Q4 since DB is the last scheduled DLC they might throw out a dlc in Q4 that has already been worked on(like some of the game we have seen but not put in since the game was first coming out) and finish that while adding text chat to it. making the job easier if that is something they do( makes sense to me.)

Its only Q2, we've still got Q3 and Q4 coming, Q3 is July-September, lets wait and see what's coming.

Im rather annoyed with the fact its not coming at this point and time. But I cant change the fact that the one thing holding me back from having some RP and better communication with my fellow Console Players wont be here for atleast another 3 months and possibly another 5 to 6. All I can do is hope the Console Team gets their **** together and actually does something more than just Name Display changes. Because if its honestly taken them close to 6 months just to produce that. I have to question their abilities as Developers.

Im hoping the Text Chat is a pleasant surprise come June.

It seems they are hell bent on making us console players suffer the incompetence that is their grouping tool for just a little while longer before they give us chat. I can literally queue for an hour and not find a group (DK DPS).

You have to consider everything involved with console text chat. First off is the fact the community had to practically form a large mob that constantly demanded it on the forums before they finally decided to give it to them. I was neutral in that bit by the way and since the community won Zenimax began working on it. They are still fine-tuning it so it isn't broken when it arrives, especially considering Social features on consoles have a rep for not working right, especially mail. Next is to consider how it will be implemented, whether we use that same keypad we have been or have the ability to use external devices, if not both.
