What are the benefits of the 64 bit client?

Just wondering, I use it and I see no difference. Does it use all my cores on my I7-4790 or something?

Like what are the specific benefits aside from "better performance"?

It lets me play @ the fps I had using the 32bit client before TG but without the stability it offered.

P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

well, 64 is the double of 32 thus you get double problems such as:
instead crashing every 20 mins, you do every 10
instead infinite loading screen after 10 zone changes, you get after 5
on 32bit PvP sound get muted on 40+ players fighting, on 64bit on20+
you get random crashes while doing nothing on 64bit client, that dont happen on 32 bit thats why i use it.
    *****
i play on a 3000$ gaming setup with best internet available btw.

    Actually,..using the 64 bit client,..
I never get crashes every 20 minutes,..or even at all.
I do sometimes get loading screens that are a bit long, but not overly so.
I never get random crashes with the 64 bit client.
I play on a PC that cost me only half the amount you paid, and have cable internet, high speed, btw.

Wait theres a 64bit client ? Is the steam version 64?

Found my answer have to do a bit of trickery though to use it with the steam overlay.

    Answer found on reddit.

" STEP 1: go into this folder: steamapps/common/Zenimax Online/ The Elder Scrolls Online/Game/Client

STEP 2: Then rename eso.exe to something else, I did old-eso.exe.

    STEP 3: Then rename eso64.exe to eso.exe

STEP 4: Enjoy Steam and 64 bit ESO. "

I'm using the 64 bit client and I wasn't getting crashes until a few days ago, but now it seems to crash every few hours. I've not had a long loading screen this patch though. I play on a 7 year old hexacore with 16Gb ddr3 and a gtx titan (the original), with fibre optic internets.

It randomly removes clothes and/or turns things pink. Sometimes it gets even weirder, like when my bosmer was wearing a dress made of her own skin.

Other than that I haven't noticed any difference. I have no idea what a 64 bit client is meant to do, but they seem to be the new big thing for MMOs.

The fact that you paid $3,000 (I assume that's what "3000$" means, please correct me if I'm wrong) doesn't mean it's actually worth that price, or anywhere near it. As for the "best internet available", that's pretty meaningless if you're neglecting to tell us that you live 500 miles from civilisation and the best you can get is 56k dial-up.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

The 64 bit client is still a bit rough around the edges. I can go long periods of time without it crashing some days. Other days it's just like "Nope" and it crashes nonstop. The sound is a bit wonky too.

The plus side though, is that my frame rate stays near 60 even in areas where it goes down to 20 or 30 on the 32 bit client. So that's pretty nice.

The controls seem more responsive on the 64 bit client too. That's really nice!

Just wish it was more stable.

There is quite a noticeable difference for me. The game looks much better and I can run it on ultra or high. On the 32 bit anything but medium crashes me repeatedly.

I use the 64 bit client off and on, but much less frequently than I would prefer due to the glitches - especially the sound glitches as those can be anything from startling to annoying when they happen (which is frequently).

Stability also continues to be an issue, so I will sometimes revert to the 32 bit client out of sheer frustration.

I am really looking forward to a good solid 64 bit client though - for everything from response to visuals to memory management.

I've never had a problem with the game crashing or getting low FPS on the 32 bit client.

On the 64 bit one it crashes regularly, and in between I get all kinds of crazy bugs. So I guess I'll stick with 32 bit for the foreseeable future.

Been using it exclusively since TG.

So far I have experience the following:

    -Pink textures
    -muddy terrain textures
-sound chirping, random sounds, static sounds, complete lack of sound (in large PvP battles)

However I have not had any crashing at all, and the FPS performance is several frames per second better than the 32-bit.

YMMV, so try it out for yourself since everyone seems to have different problems and severity.

I'm playing on both clients. In general, 32 bit has way less bugs, and if you do PVE you don't notice any performance difference. Though "mixed groups" in dungeons seem to have higher crash rates when part plays on 32 bit and part plays on 64 bit.

In PVP, with big zergs and high lag, the servers desynchronize sometimes. Playing on 64bit there gives you a higher chance to be on the "giving end" of the desynch - you deal damage to an enemy player who doesn't see that in his game yet and dies respectively due to lacking counter-action.

I still don't think it's even using all our memory freely as it should...so the 64bit isn't even doing its job there.

They need to make this 64bit client work asap.
