Can't Complete Quest

I can't complete the quest "The Mournhold Underground."

I'm stuck on the part where you have to activate the levers with Alit grease. The lever that's in the water under the grate is unable to be activated by me. My character is a Bosmer, and he's too short to walk in that water, so he has to swim. Because of this, it won't let me push the lever to open the door.

    +1 on this.

I too have a short-ass bosmer character and can't turn the lever under the grate as too short to stand up. Unable to turn lever while treading water.

Ah so this is the problem.

Also having this problem with a bosmer. Very annoying, especially since it's a main story quest.

Anyone had a response from support as yet? Been two weeks and still no reply.

I got a reply but it wasn't useful.

They acknowledged having received other reports about it and basically said we're screwed until someone fixes the bug - so we have to wait and watch the patch notes page.

Oh and they gave the usual try abandoning and restarting the quest advice - which I had already tried.

I replied pointing them to this thread since they didn't seem to have figured out it was a bosmer thing.

Same problem with my Bosmer templar, to be honest i dont get why they made them so short when they have a height slider in their game, if people want short Bosmer they can have that by sliding the slider all the way down, but when I max out the height slider id like to get a Bosmer that is just a bit shorter than a Redguard (in case you didn't know in ESO Redguards are the shortest human race, yep they bumped the Bretons from the shortest human race to as tall as an Orc.)

And before anyone says lore-wise, please read the lore book A Dance in Fire, here are a few lines:

"A small party of Bosmer emerged from the thicket, clad in leather mail and bearing arms. “Friend or foe?”
“You must be the Cyrodiils,” laughed the leader of the group, a tall skeleton-thin youth with a sharp vulpine face.

"One of the guards disappeared down the winding corridor, and returned moments later with a tall, proud Bosmer clad in a loose robe of patchwork leather. He was the Minister of Trade."

"Scotti was negotiating transport with a huge fair-haired Bosmer with a face like a pickled carp. He called himself Captain Balfix"

IMO their height in skyrim was the best depiction, they weren't High Elves, but they weren't Hobbits as well, so ESO should be even better since they have their height slider which was not an option in previous TES games, and please fix the quest I want to leave Deshaan as soon as possible.

My bosmer are all max height - often taller than players of other races who go for min height. I made a few short bosmer but it felt weird staring at Lyris' vajayjay during conversations so I deleted them and started again.

Yeah, the reply I got was basically to just wait until they fix the bug. Which is ridiculous in my opinion. So now I can't finish the EP quests because of one bug. Maybe it will be fixed by DB... The least they could do is just mark that quest as competed for me so I can progress onward.

Yes that's very annoying. Though I was pleased to discover I could start the Shadowfen main story quests without having finished Deshaan's.

What they should be able to do is mark that objective - turning the unturnable lever - as completed.

Yeah. I've got the same problem. Just submitted a ticket. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't part of the main quest line.

After the recent patch, this is fixed for my bosmer. I was able to turn the handle while swimming.
