Pls fix or at least improve Valkyn Skoria monster set

Hey hey,
after a lot of tests with this beautiful orange/red shiny mask and shoulder i'm very close to mantikora enrage stomp:

This set original introduced with vet City of Ash was back in the days the set to go for every nice magicka dragonknight, cause it delivered an additional fire metoer from sky high calculated on base of how much targets you hit with varoius dot effects.

Alot happend since that time , some people say it has to be change cause it produces lags in pvp (so lags are gone now in pvp? let me guess: no), kk got that point , maybe zos is right in that point or not who knows.

State of today:

It doesnt matter how many targets you hit with your dots (1 or 6 or 1k... targets) - Valkyn Skoria now always takes the 1st target hit by dot as base factor for calculation of meteor proc = extrem low chance to get a meteor. Yes realy! The set doesnt care if there 1 or 6 enemies inside of your eruption or hit by engulfing flame or standing inside of a wall of elements :-( Only the first affected target by dot is important, nothing else !
In addition it got an internal cooldown (oh no pls no just not true).
And it got damaged reduced (oh no pls no just not true).

Result:
A waste of time over 100 runs of vCOA to get helm drop - thx @ rng god of droppness luck

So pls take a look again into this set and fix it pls @ ZOS

Elemental ring procs it quite well. As does either a resto or lightening staff. Still the chances are weak and somehow when I hit Grobul it reflected back and one shotted me for 14k Valkyn Skorias wrath. Though it says it only does 7k? Nice troll ZOS.

Still needs the chance buffed a touch. 8% may be spot in. It's not as powerful or as chance worthy as nerenith.

Valkyn Skoria is garbage after ZoS fiddled with it, along with everything else they fiddle with

dude - 13.9 k life is way to low for vetdungeons ;-P

i made long mad tests with this set the last couple of test with every dot produccing skill and enchant- if you have the feeling that elemental ring proccs it good for you then build up an altair honored for your rng godness of proccs

Given I've got all the helms bar one on V16 it certainly isn't. Not when you've got a 20k+ shield anyway.

I would like to see Valkyn make a comeback, not only is it bugged but it was seemingly nerfed into Oblivion which has resulted in a "Kena or Bust" meta.

Along with new monster sets being introduced, fixing or buffing old ones would be nice too. .

I think removing the GCD would be good enough (they nerfed Skoria's damage so giving it a cooldown don't make sense)

Nerienth should do more damage then Skoria because it procs a Lich Crystal that is stationary in a small area and has a 3 second windows before it explodes, wheareas Skoria always hits.

they should remove the GCD from Skoria or at the very least reduce it significantly, since they nerfed the dame it don't make sense for the set to have a6 sec cooldown.

That would explain why it barely procs......i used it in pvp recently to test it and it really procs very seldom.....I alrdy thought smth must be buggy but did not rly care to investigate further

Thanks for the post guys. We have improvements coming to Valkyn Skoria and some of the lesser used monster masks as well.

Thanks @Wrobel glad to hear there are improvements coming to Valkyn Skoria, I hope they're worth the wait. Nerfing it to hell really was the last nail in the coffin for a lot of DoT builds. Valkyn Skoria is my favorite set all around, and it gets aggravating when great monster sets are continually tampered with and rendered ineffective just so a new "meta build" monster set can shine. We should have the option to farm for whatever set we want without having to worry about sacrificing 1000+ DPS output, instead of all bumrushing the same FOTM sets until it gets nerfed and a new FOTM set is released.

Next Molag Kena will get a major nerf, be completely ineffective, just in time for new monster sets that will be the new meta. Rinse and repeat.
