I could have sworn it was over 10K base but now it's under 7K. Help me understand what's going on. They wouldn't nerf Templars of all things ... I hope.

They just polish his spear until it goes dull.

So yeah Its a huge nerf
Hey, Zos; here's an idea. Why not just 'accidently' delete all existing Templars, and remove it from the character creation options?
It's clearly what you are aiming for - making it unusable so you can then justify it's removal. I would suggest you alternatively remove Aedric Spear and Dawn's Wrath as part of your evil schemes instead, but you have effectively done that already with the nerfs and seemingly unfixable broken skills.

No need. Healers will be obsolete after next major patch, when siege debuffs cant be purged. What's the point of healers in a raid or group, when no one can be healed or purged by them? The future is all about max dps stacking Barriers.
Last patch killed tanks. Next patch kills healers. Most healers being templars, so I'm not surprised.
ZoS just going out of their way, worse every patch, to make sure no one plays anything but high mobility/burst NB and sorc in PvP.
I fully expect a post soon with "hey gang" and "we decided to removed the templar class from the game"

i fully agree. unless that significantly nerf barrier, any "healer" should be replaced by a stamina dd with vigor and a couipel of points in bastion
got enough chars leveled by now. time for somethign fresh. the day i accepted that i should move away from my templar was the day, eso started to become again. it's so great to always know where i misplayed when something went wrong. every day is better than the last. i think it took less than 10hours to become competetive in 1v1 and 1vX pvp in comparison to my templar and there is soooo much more potential if i actually l2p other chars properly
i am totally sincere: dear templars, just try it out. take antoher class, fully invest in a build and experience it. it's so much fun.
My best guess is that after the last nerf, Zeni ran some stats and saw that some people are still not playing nightblades or sorcerers. They won't put up with that. They'll finish neutering Templar damage skills, then move on to finish squashing dragonknights. Then they'll circle back to tackle that pesky Templar healing business.
